Hello, hope you enjoyed this video! ...... And for you WONDERFUL people who cared enough to make it down here to the comments section... here is a HIDDEN BONUS VIDEO where you can learn that neat move I did in the intro: th-cam.com/video/4RUUNaSH-J0/w-d-xo.html ALSO....... If you also wanna learn how to shoot a card flying out of a deck, check this video ---> th-cam.com/video/OEzVI1FdAg4/w-d-xo.html It's a playlist link so it contains ALL MY MAGIC TUTORIALS as well. ;)
Fun design tip: I used the USPCC bicycle deck "Hidden" for this. On the ace of spades, it has an eye painted on it and the designs name, "Hidden". I deliberatly make this card the one on top, then I tell my friends that it's called Hidden, because it wants to play hide and seek with them and ask them to look the card in the eye. I find that playing around with a cool design on the top cards will create more focus and attention from the viewer and they will have a better reaction when I reveal the card has changed. In "Hidden" there's also two Jokers, one with a skull and one with a living guy, so it would be really cool to swap these two and have him magically die or be revived. There are tons of cool and well designed card decks out there, so I definitely recommend getting creative with your favourite one!
This is a really cool effect and I really appreciate you taking the time to include all the troubleshooting/variables (something most magic books are notorious for leaving out).
Finally a color change I can handle. Thanks so much for this. I’m in fact so thankful I’m headed to Patreon to give you some love right away. Keep it up and I’m rooting for you to make it to Fool Us.
This is by far the best tutorial I have ever seen on the Erdnase color change. Such great instruction. Thanks!!! I'm still FAR away from your smoothness on this but this really helped a lot.
as always your videos are always scientifically explained and well detailed. and compared to your old videos, your aura here is awesome, warm, and funny. please do tutorials on cardistry. im telling my students to follow your videos. keep up the good tutorials sir Parker.
Hey Patrick, thanks so much! I really appreciate that, and your help to share these videos. I wish I could put out more videos more quickly... but I'm really trying to do my best at making these tutorials so I put a lot of thought and research into them before releasing.... plus trying to capture some sweet b-roll to hook interest at the beginning 😂..... a work in progress. And BTW thanks for the comment on my aura! I've been working on relaxing and being myself more in front of the camera over time. Lastly, you have students? You are teaching magic? :)
thanks a lot , this is the first card trick i am learning. got interested learn card tricks to freshen my mind up and so far its a good solution for a change of pace.
First, the way the tutorial is made is great. Second, i do not prefer this change if u have to push the card forward, bcs sometimes it's actually very obvious and ppl do notice the little forward move which kinda ruins the trick (and yes even great magicians who do it like that - like jason showed in real performance it's pretty obvious). I am totally with u, that's a great trick for beginners. if u r on an advanced level u should go more "magic" with that kinda move.
Yeah there are other options for color changes.... I do like this one because the angles are covered very well for real life performances. A snap change won't work for a group of people around you. And there is also the option I presented in the middle of using your left index finger to push the deck back instead of pushing the top card forward. I tried that way and it's ok.... but everyone has their preference. :) Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed the style of this tutorial :))
I mastered it in a few hours and my family has no idea how it happens, i like adding it to other tricks so it looks like i mess up and then transform it into their card and their blown away. Thx great tutorial❤❤❤
Thanks Oscar! Yeah, and there are a lot of different color changes versions you can learn out there… It's a great way to recover from a trick that went wrong, as you were doing. :)
great tutorial, never thought i can do magic, even tho I gave it a shot and in few tries i managed to pull it off. ofc it was not as smooth or fast but still doable :) Thanks
Nice! Always been a magic fan from having a neighbour who was a magician as a kid and from seeing Penn and Teller live and on Fool Us. Been loving your react videos so much in the past few months and suddenly had a hankering to learn just enough to entertain my 4 (and a half) year old nephew so I bought some cards and searched for a video and was delighted to find your channel. I'm going to practice this and the riffle shuffle until I can get it right. :)
The main importance of the maneuver...if I'm not mistaken...appears to be with the index finger and the palm. You need to be sure to move your index finger along with the top card as you slide it out, so that you can slide it back into place as you're moving the bottom card out with your palm. You also need to be sure to be fully covering the card with your hand as you do the secret slide.
Wonderful tutorial. Great production. And funny. This is a trick I really want to learn and your variations give me all the ways to get there. Thanks Jason.
As u get more comfortable the less card out jogged in shore Jason doesn’t need the card exposed to the pip but begging start with pips no disrespect j money u are a great teacher💪🏻🙏🏻
Trying it myself made me realize how much more awesome this is than not knowing the trick. With my technique it is blatantly obvious and not even a trick. Ok I only tried it like four times or so.
Nice tutorial, this erdnase card change is easier than I thought, will practice for sure! Oh and if you really want to sing for us how about it's a kind of magic by Queen? ; )
Thanks for the idea... but I took a look at it and decided to pass... the way they were editing it.... you couldn't even see between when the magician was bouncing the object and when he broke open the egg to show it was real. I'm sure I would get some hate comments if I was complaining about that too much. lol. Plus...... AGT will be starting very soon so I'll be making reaction videos again before you know it! :)
hahah... you know me too... but I somehow feel like it doesn't really stop this color change from working. Everything is in motion. The spectator doesn't know what to look for. And even putting that ring on my middle finger helps close a little bit of the "finger windows".
Ah sorry! Well if you are young, then your hand will grow! And if not... well... there are lots of good other sleight of hand moves to learn that can work with smaller hands too. :) Hope you are well! And thanks for the laugh with your original comment :)
Hmmm... maybe try shuffling the cards a bit and try again... OR... you can try gripping the edges of the deck a LITTLE more tightly with the fingers that are holding the deck. OR... you can try holding the deck NOT parallel with the floor. (I mean not flat like a table).... but instead on it's side, like how I was aiming it at the camera. It might allow for single cards to come out more easily..... hope this helps.... always try different things! :)
Extra Notes #1b: Don't use a deck that has 52 of the same card. The trick won't be impressive. Although I suppose for comedy, you could make any claim, like, i just shuffled the deck, and then reveal they are all the same, making it impossible to disprove.

Every second time I subscribe to your channel, you magically disappear from my news feed.

OMG this is one thing i know how to do!!! It took a little time to learn
Thanks
As u get more comfortable the less card out jogged in shore Jason doesn’t need the card exposed to the pip but begging start with pips no disrespect j money u are a great teacher💪🏻🙏🏻
Great video! Instructions are very clear. Song suggestion: “Do You Believe in Magic”

Very nice video bro that was very helpful 👍
Nice shirt!
Jose Felix thanks! My most colorful one - my gf convinced me to get it :))
Great stuff . TY.
Is singing in the video option still available ? I'd vote for the song 'This love' by Maroon 5 ;)
Right on bro!
Jason, can you teach the move at 0:12
Here ya go! :) th-cam.com/video/4RUUNaSH-J0/w-d-xo.html
Jason Parker thanks man!
i love that thanks 😍😍
Thanks very much, this was great and I can almost do it! :)
Nice tutorial, this erdnase card change is easier than I thought, will practice for sure!

A lot of people do a REALLY ugly Erdnase. Yours is beautiful!
Hahahaha man your jokes between explanation.. they are the best i laught a lot !! amazing!!! hahhaahah
Hey Jason, is it possible if u can react to a magic show on Britain's got talent. Its quite amazing, he turned a piece of confetti into an egg.
Do you remember who it was? (was it recently?)
th-cam.com/video/pz-zTAz9A6Y/w-d-xo.html this is the one. It is recent.

Option #4 wear a really loud shirt and no one will see you palm the card or watch the trick
wow you're muscles are big man!
thanks!!! :) I go to the gym most days.... on average about 5 or 6 days a week... trying to stay active
That's one helluva shirt.
Lol
Finally 😍🤩
Dark Shadow 😃😃
My hand has more windows than a mansion lol

Jason Parker Thanks! However my hand is *literally* too small to conceal the card; the card is bigger than my hand.
Ah sorry! Well if you are young, then your hand will grow! And if not... well... there are lots of good other sleight of hand moves to learn that can work with smaller hands too. :) Hope you are well! And thanks for the laugh with your original comment :)
Marc Tang
Ahhh. There are rear palms from Marlo. Jon Racherbaumer writes card finesse 1-2. And a clip palm tenkai palm
The way out of windows is simply tilting your hand so it’s not FACING the person straight on. Tilt. Simple. No windows
I would like to hear you sing Bohemian Rhapsody, backwards.
Oz Perlman teaches the second method, but I might actually prefer yours
I would like for you to sing R.E.M. "It's the End of the World As We Know It" :P
a baby: WOOOOOOOT
like a weird jaspas deck mixed with a magician
Do a tutorial on that slick ass move you did at 1:09 !!!
I tried this and I’ve come to the conclusion my hands are just too small. They don’t cover anything I’m doing. I don’t get it!!
Not gonna lie.....I want to hear Jason Parker rap.
Legit!
Well i just have 1 problem, i have a skinny finger that cant cover the flashing
Dude! You should be up there with chris Ramsey. Wtf?!
when i pull the second card out, i always pull 2 cards :(
Hmmm... maybe try shuffling the cards a bit and try again... OR... you can try gripping the edges of the deck a LITTLE more tightly with the fingers that are holding the deck. OR... you can try holding the deck NOT parallel with the floor. (I mean not flat like a table).... but instead on it's side, like how I was aiming it at the camera. @@JasonParkerMagic okay thank you very much

Moar!
What are you wearing?!? 😁
haha... its my colorful shirt :)

Thanks! Excellent and entertaining. How about a tenor solo? Tenor 12 miles away and solo we can't hear you? 😁
People with small hands:😑
my left hand is in hell

My hands are too small and I'm sad
I have never done even one card trick before and this worked so well for me. Thanks for the great explanation!
