Great Video, really enjoying watching everything you post. Keep it up! I recently started my 2nd lawn journey. Growing Green Bermuda/Couch from seed out the front and Kikuyu out the back from seed. Im hoping i can get it to look as yours or as good as the Santa Ana i planted at my parents house a number of years ago.
Funny you mentioned the driveway, I commented on that in the video releasing tomorrow. In short, the yellow coating is lifting, so I am not keen to pressure wash it.
Looking good mate. Try getting some high-quality compost and putting a thin layer down on your bare spots. the couch will move in quickly. I got mine from bunnings, but not the cheap stuff. it's full of plastics and stone. It easily halved the time to fill in compared to the areas i didn't. I can relate to using topsoil brought in, i got 2 meters delivered, and the whole area which was stone free was absolutely ruined and to top it off loads of weed seed species id never had in the lawn before.
@john I had the same issue once, decided to top dress with "budget lawn topsoil" from a local nursery and ended up with a massive pearlwort infestation! never again... Washed sandpit sand or USGA/Turf Sand from now on.
it was good to see what you started with. its given me some hope for when i do ny front yard. i recently started working on my back lawn. scalped and topped with sand for the first time in october. its mostly grown back now. what lawn edger and trimmer do you use?
I am using a Ryobi One + 18V Edger ... www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-cordless-220mm-edger-oed1850-tool-only_p3380836 , I already had the batteries, so just got the tool only model. Keep going with the yard, I also started with the back yard before committing to the street view front yard. Stick with the washed sand and don't forget to put out lawn food, you will need to do that a bit more often because of the sand. Sand will not retain nutrients. Hooroo :)
Yes, it is the Ryobi 36v straight shaft trimmer. The 18v is not powerful enough for the rotary scissors. You can get the rotary scissors from Amazon. I got mine from Yard Empire in Brendale yardempire.com.au/
Nice video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, hoodoo:)

Time for a driveway makeover Dave. You won't regret it.

Thanks, I might just give that a go once I get some plugs in there.

@sasquatch1159 mate, this was their "premium organic topdressing" since when was earth cable sheathing and plastic bottle tops organic.
