@@thegr8revealing US model, supersprint catback and x-pipe is my full setup and for me the rasp is just right (I’m not a fan of rasp) cold you get some but once it heats up it’s almost non existent. honestly I’ve had everything from 1940’s ford hot rods all the way to modern Porsches, all with some exhaust modifications and nothing even comes close to how good the s54 Z3M sounds with this muffler set up. It absolutely sings.
@@anthonyjenkins3335 That's so awesome to hear. Are you running the Race SuperSprint muffer, not the sport one? Sounds like you also have the SuperSprint headers if you're running the catbacks?
This is awesome. The Euro S54 M Coupes came with a stock resonator, or the silencer box as BMW calls it. I'm looking to put a SS exhaust on my US version that is too raspy w/o the box. Maybe I should stick with the Sport over the Race exhaust because of that. Thanks for the video! Have you driven a US S54 M Coupe or Z3M to compare the stock sounds by chance?
Haven’t driven or even heard one in person. The cats are a big component of not having a raspy noise. The sport rear box should also be less raspy yes.
OEM exhaust isn't aligned very well, they were never perfect. Adjustability on an exhaust shifts especially after they get properly hot for the first time, so on our cars we readjust at a later date (such as when we fit the headers) and just get it close for video purposes. Trust me, Aston would spend hours adjusting it to get it perfect if we let him!
@@EvolveAutomotive I was going to purchase these specific mufflers and have them put on my 5.5l NA V8 Benz was wondering if they had any specific design that makes them more suited to a smaller displacement engine or if a large engine could use it as well. Would you happen to know what the interior is like? Such as a free flowing straight through design with perforations?
@@EvolveAutomotive they do I actually bought one of yours because I got it at a very good price. Was curious do the tips do anything on the super sprint or are they just for style? They seem very long and beefy I thought maybe they change resonance or maybe muffle sound volume.
We aren’t worried about weight loss, and don’t want a system that is too loud. We think this paired with the exhaust manifolds we’ll fit at a later date will be the ideal setup for ourselves.
@@EvolveAutomotive oh you mean manifolds 😉 excellent video series btw. I had a Supersprint on a Golf years ago, they were such an unknown brand. I priced one up when I had an E36 M3, it was so dear, but the manifold looked so goddamn beautiful 😳
Yes manifolds in British English. 15 years of mainly selling them to US customers means that’s the term we use! The E36 M3 kit is beautiful, great gain from them too.
@@EvolveAutomotive That's good. Getting the perfect sound can sometimes require quite a few setups before one really nails it - from what I've seen from other YT'ers. I did the OEM exhaust mod on my E92M and at around 120 kph the drone gets really obnoxious to the point I almost regret doing it. But it sounds great at all other times so...
Exhaust drone can really ruin the experience of owning a car. Do you know what level of mod you did? Typically a 1.5-2 pipe mod and our test pipes has no drone.
@@EvolveAutomotive I did the ghetto mod :) I cut open the resonator and covered the perforated pipes before welding it all together again. Thanks for the tip but test pipes will not pass the MOT test inspection here in Sweden unfortunately. These guys are so stiff...
I like how the Supersprint exhaust increases the sound of the car without being noisy.
Aaaaww yeah!! Now I want to remove mine off and put this on now. I have a 2002 Z3 M roadster and this one is so clean.
Love the way it sound with the Supersprint, neither too loud nor not enough. Good compromise
👍🏼 Love the low rumble. I personally love a good sounding, understated exhaust note.
I have this exhaust on my s54 M roadster and it’s absolutely the best sounding setup on any car I’ve ever owned, It’s music.

Childhood dream car. Also favourite car of your line up!
Sound is spot on
Massive improvement on sound 👌🏻.
Nice upgrade, OEM plus look. Sound is also very decent. Looking forward to the sound after headers are fitted 😎
*How much difference to a car this makes is crazy I wait to install one on mine when I get a jack and few more things*
Awesome video Imran ! Thank you for sharing
this thing is so good
Lovely 👌 quality
Z3M coupe 🤤
Great video. The car definitely sounds more purposeful 👍
Sounds much better
I need to get my M coupe in for this.

Should have gave a few rev's with the mufflers off just for fun and see if you get any fire fire.
nice ride! what size wheels are those and type, is it staggered.
S54 is all about the Induction sound. The exhaust should be quiet so it doesn’t drown out the induction noise. Fit the Evolve airbox now :)
This car isn’t going anywhere, there’s no rush 😉
Plus we need to manufacture the Z3M specific parts.
Eagerly await it!!
The Z3M coupe > Z4M coupe. I don't even turn on the radio when I drive my BMW with an S54 in it. What is the progress with the E36 M3 Touring ?
The Z3M is definitely far more iconic.
Matt was actually working on it the weekend just gone, a video will come at some point hopefully 😬
I am curious, do you get any pops when slowing down?
Sounds a lot better
You may get the odd completely natural one.
That almost sounds old school M20
Were you not tempted to fit the 80mm tailpipe version? Or do they have a different style exit?
Do they sound this good on the M3? Not that I have heard
Tailpipe alignment of Supersprint out compared to OEM and sound too muted. Good video as always though😎

How Long till we get to see the headers fitted and the remap results ? z3m owner wanting to see :-)
Coming soon, arrival of the G82 M4 has taken our focus
I prefer the standard s54 rasp. So much so, that when I bought my M3 with an aftermarket exhaust, I ditched it for a standard one 🤣
Each to their own!
@@EvolveAutomotive the weight saving is a big bonus though 👍
How’s the drone on highway?
We did a 2000 mile road trip in this car recently and the exhaust was great, not at all intrusive when cruising.
