I love it when bands are self-aware and have a sense of humor about themselves. These guys clearly know the score: they were trendy once, their 15 minutes have come and gone, now they're just glad they still get to do their thing and have anyone give a shit.
You know, the joke doesn't get old because it's a throwback to when you'd jam out at a pal's basement, with a bunch of your drunk friends, and everyone only knew 1/3 of a song, so you'd play it, and everyone would scream along, and then fuck it up, and then NEXT! ahahahahaha This band got me through HS, and still gets me through today.
It’s worth it! I’m a jaded musician, child of musicians, so I hate going to shows, but RBF has the best show! Turns me into a crazy dancing introvert temporarily!
As far as bouncers go, they seem fairly cool. They’re keeping the crowd surfers from landing on their heads and don’t seem to be actively trying to beat people up. That’s about as good as it gets
Well the weird thing about that is... the first time it was released, it was the 80's but it didn't do so well, but for some reason it had more success re-released in the 90's
This was a funny bit, but it might not have been the best idea to include the hit song from the superior 90's ska band as part of the joke. It looked like people were more into the Impression Than I get than Sell Out. You can actually hear someone sigh "awww" when they stop playing the Bosstones.
@@RealMuperSan Matter of taste, obviously, but as far as who left the bigger footprint musically, I don't think it's even close. I've seen both bands recently, and the Bosstones are still a solid draw. RBF shows don't pull a big crowd, and their music went downhill a lot faster than Bosstones' did.
Reel big Fish covering The Impression That I Get is the greatest thing!
@Jane Taylor Then it becomes The Depression That I Get :(

plus they have been doing the same bit for over a decade...
They are a lot of fun live... They read and play with the crowd very well.
It's not so bad being trendy.....
This security was super vigilant, to make sure their 35-45 year old ska fans didn't get too rowdy.
After all those deaths at the Save Ferris concert brawl the month before, wouldn't you be?
Although this is a funny joke and fairly true, I did see a fair amount of 20 somethings, even some 14 year old with liberty spikes.
I’m a huge ska music fan and I’m 14
🤣🤣🤣
Elle Wren lol
The audio is surprisingly good for loud live music recorded on a cell phone.
Matthewbraaten cell phones have quite good microphones these days
@@deluxeg I saw them last year and they sound amazing, he would stop signing and people would continue the song for almost half the song it was crazy.
They have crazy good live performances tho
They're amazing live. Almost sounds from the studio.

I remember listening to this while trying to collect all 120 stars 😥 #memories
still the best !!! RBF made my high school in late 90's so much fun .. thank you RBF... Indonesia Reel Big Fish Fans 🤘🤘🇲🇨🇲🇨
I miss these guys touring. Always so much fun.
That security guard was trying really hard not to enjoy the show 😂😂
They’re so dumb. I’ve done that job, you can keep an eye on the crowd, and enjoy the show at the same time. I would have killed to see RBF live 😔
The wholesome vibes just don't stop lmao, I'm seeing them in concert this summer!
Hopefully you still go see them
yeah how'd that work out for you
@@jockejarbinks3747 they canceled their tour I believe
Man, I want to see these guys live some day.

These guys are as cool as it gets...
3/23/2024 remembering good times 🕺
the security guys so clearly want to laugh but won't.
I was actually laughing at him not laughing haha :)
What a fun of my high school time.... Keep cool all 90'ers
That was so fun and good! They are so awesome and talented!
The best band who follows me on twitter.
I’ll trade you wheatus. Lmao
Those covers were great. I wish they had finished Impression, I was so hype when they started playing it!
Hype is what you give, hyped is what you are.
Reel big fish made all my favorite songs from the 80s
Double D Arab Mocha Chocolate was the only Security that seemed to have an actual sense of humor. I love him.
This did this same bit at Slam Dunk in the UK. Was great 😂 Especially when Goldfinger appeared.
I love this so much
This Guys Are Such Much Fun I Wish I Can Se Them Live
Love this and legend for such a good recording
Id be pissed if i paid for tickets and there was a humorless cop in my face the whole time
That's off duty officer to you sir lol. Fuck pigs: all the same sacks of shit
The venues insurance makes them do stuff like this.

Got hype as FUCK when they started playing Impression That I Get
we need more videos of really good bands doing covers rather than mediocre bands
That's why i love them in show, last i saw them he started to play The Offspring i was like that's not them. They also made many joke.
@@jakelowang4132 Most of the Ska/Punk bands Like Goldfinger NOFX ^The Offspring do. Sad that this gone the way of the dodo since then.
Wouldn't surprise me if all these songs were listed as RBF songs on napster/morpheus/kazaa back in the day
That was the best fucking show I've been to!!
He is such a showman 😂
omg would love to have been there
Props to the one guy that kept crowd surfing
I miss concerts
Same
Probably my best 3am garage concert.
I've been in a shitty mood all day, this video changed all that! Fuck yeah!!!
Every time I get upset with this country I think of parody law and it makes it all, somehow, worth it.
(sk)awesome video!!
Holy fuck I want to see these guys live now
What a great bit.
The funniest part is the Proclaimers song being from the 80's, adding another layer to the joke.
Well the weird thing about that is... the first time it was released, it was the 80's but it didn't do so well, but for some reason it had more success re-released in the 90's
That's freaking so great😂
Looks like a lot of fun 😂👍 (i really didnt know the one from the black album)
Idk I'm pretty sure that last one was by metallica
キタ〜😂
Vibes
I love watching the security trying and failing not to find this funny.
Now only if mighty would cover sellout!
nice
Just to clear this show sheesh. The most expensive show
Is that famous ska legend, singer, songwriter Darren Barret?
"No one can steal my wallet, because it has a wallet chain!"
"Or maybe it's because there's nothing in it..."
I’ve been calling you Darren... or nothing... this whole time.
left wondering if they ever got out again for that ""one more song"
Did they do an encore?
They did, but honestly, I don't remember which song(s) they played this time for their encore!
Not as crazy as our shows here in their hometown area of OC but good job NJ. I would hate those bouncers in my face though.
dude in the vid is clearly the girl with the bows bestie. fight me.
Who doesn't like this song?
Ok that was kinda funny
😝😜😝😜😝🤩
am i the one who seen these big bounces looking pissed
HAHAHAHA!!!
SKANKIN' PICKLE FEVER!!! IF YOU LIKE SKA PUNK AND DIN'T KNOW,, NOW YA DO!!!! YOUR WELCOME
Seguridad se le chorrea
I had no idea ska bands opened up mosh pits 4:30
Of course! Or rather, since they are pits for skanking/dancing, they're called "skank pits" 😉 Like moshpits, but generally friendlier!
@@SantaRosaSlinger circle pit is also acceptable
People don't know how to have fun like this anymore....and the kids today only listen to hate and destruction garbage so ya
Security bro, looks insecure.
Pake sendal jepit
Bruhh there big trolls.
Dude at 4:30 looks like the love child of Vic Ruggiero and Nick Miller from New Girl
Metallica couldn't play any of that stuff. Well maybe the one, that boring one.
Did I just see Long Duck Dong?
Yeah, who needs four or five big dudes blocking the view of the stage? What do they think is going to happen?
hey were going to stand there faceless all strong and dumb duh

Kevin Connor Reel Big Fish has way more jams than Mighty Might Bosstones!
Superior? Not in my book.

Who are the bosstones?
Why the fuck does TH-cam think I like Reel Big Fish so much? Enjoy yourselves people but TH-cam clearly has no understanding of my taste in music.
I love how the security looks so confused lmao
