The first time I saw Tom Alter outside the screen was in my Grad School at JMI in Delhi... and in that play, he was speaking 'perfect' Urdu. This confused me to the core... as I just couldn't wrap my head around it! 😅 A few days later I ran into him in the lobby of another auditorium, and I 'had to' stop him and ask about it. He laughed loudly and told me that he was 'born' in India and he has been in theatre for decades! That was awkward - but a good one!
