I saw him twice that year, in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. The 1997 Feelings tour was cool because it featured quite a bit of unusual electronic music elements, particular to that album and he kept disappearing into this black box to change into all variety of strange costume every couple songs. Then, in 2001, I saw him twice, including once at the Riv. The Riv was his second Chicago appearance that year and he seemed irritated by that time. At the other theater, earlier in the year, he rode straight up to us on his bicycle, smiling, waving and chatting while we were waiting to get in! hahaha
well, your too young to be a fan of talking heads/ david bryne, as am I I was told by some random dude at a bar, who saw them at the fox theatre in Atlanta, so I guess that guy's word is as good as God's, probably better than that as well. so in order to listen to their music you must've had to have seen them at the fox.
concerts have lost all point/meaning for me, I'll maybe never go to another concert ever again. waste of money, because I can't afford concert tickets, not because the bands I like suck
Excellent great to see another high quality version of this tour. Do you have it on wav? I have one from Italy and Berlin on wav. The berlin version is particularly good. Another one is from Denver which was last night of the tour. Some band call Coolbone joined him on stage. It was a great version of I Zimbra.
I have it on flac. I have also Amsterdam (short gig, radio broadcast) and the Sunrise, FL one. Do you have any "rare" songs with your gigs ? I have nice versions of "Slippery People" and "Big Blue Plymouth" played live with the electronic arrangement.
Very sorry Frank only finding this link again 9 months later! Will have to get the flac one off you at some point. You send me a show years ago when CDR was the only way, It had the only live version of Pull up the roots from the SMS tour. I doubt very much if I have something that you have not managed to acquire over the years.
great show! I remember the costume changes...Morcheeba was incredible ...good times
Cool! I was at this show! Thanks for sharing!
