So let me get this straight, you ask for an increase for 3 months, you get it for 5 months and then you mad when it ends and Joe is in the wrong 🤔. Ok.
Flip in the wrong. You asked that man for a favor for a certain amount of time. He does it, and you expect him to keep doing after the amount of time you asked him to do it for? Hell naw. If you needed help for a longer period of time, you should've said it not sat there and expected him to keep doing it.
Sorry Flip. I don’t know the full details, but based solely off this convo you’re wrong. Joe started off doing you a favor with the extra payments. Joe has the right contractually to cut you off after the three months or even ask for the extra money back depending on the contract terms. Above all else, Flip is wrong because he ASSUMED and EXPECTED that special treatment to continue. It don’t work that way homie. Even if you’re doing above and beyond, you stay humble. People will see you excel and a better opportunity will come around whether from Joe or somewhere else. But you can’t assume anyone will continue to give you special treatment. You aren’t owed anything outside the contract 🤷🏾♂️
its not a favor. He was doing extra work that wasnt a part of any contract and was getting paid for that work. If and when the extra work started, he made it seem like it was sort of extra due to needing that money for 3 months but continued to do the extra work but when the pay stopped because he only claimed he needed that money for 3 months, he thought due to him still doing the extras, the money should have continued but that wasnt the agreement .. What joe should do, is tell him there is no extra work but since he didnt tell him that dude now feels a way because he thought joe would have taken the hint but hints dont work in contracts

And there lies the problem. Flip made the mistake "the other guys" made...... He let his personal feelings interfere with the business. He literally said it and doesn't hear himself. You wanted to be treated as a friend in a business deal. Joe HAS TO stop doing business with his friends.
Not the same situations. Rory and Mal were having contractual disputes first and foremost, and ultimately they didn't believe that the problems they were having would have come from someone they both considered a friend. Flip situation sounds like he believed that because of his contributions he should be making more. When he asked for an increase for the 3 months and it plus and extra 2 and was then cut off, he took it as a slight from his friend and it upset that he didn't let it continue.

It can be really difficult to navigate a "proper" approach, and it is the precise reason unions were created. Sigh…… Flip needs to go to business school. These conversations are beyond dumb at this point. Friendship and business contracts are not the same thing. Welcome to reality
9:35 "That solid, continue that.." that's exactly what Flip should of talked about but he don't wanna ask Joe because he feels like its begging and its gonna mess with his pride. Flip wrong as hell for that, Joe is 100% in the right. If you have expectations or want something you need to speak up because he won't read minds. If Flip wanted to have a talk about how he could get paid more he should of been upfront with Joe instead of being mad that he could of got more and didn't know until now. Flip is BUGGIN! Flip trying to say its begging is crazy business is business you can talk to negotiate that isn't begging lmao
Every time Joe sticks out his hand looking out for other people they end up turning on him. Flip is mad at Joe for doing exactly what they agreed to do. And people run with the narrative that Joe's the problem. His only fault is not being a hard A$$ and sticking to the terms of the original contract
Flip is kinda buggin, he had a favor done and he thought he could keep that “inch” that accidentally turned into a mile. Joe basically gave him an integrity test, and he failed lowkey. Cuz he still expects this degree of “generosity” and putting entitlement behind it. He’s a part of a team not a one man team with dead weight.
I feel like Flip spoke on this to “expose” that Joe is reasonable does right by his employees. Flip is always speaking highly of Joe & seems to be grateful for this opportunity. I don’t see Flip leaving the podcast because he’s the most important addition to the show. They’ll always figure the business when the respect & love is there.
Yup if you can see it clearly , Flip lowkey bigging joe up here and you can tell flip not really mad at all. This show has made him 10x bigger in the mainstream and he clearly shows his gratitude often
7:19 Flip needs to GROW a PAIR!! Ask directly for what you want like a MAN. Your boss will NEVER voluntarily give you a raise even though you worth it. Close mouths don’t get fed n***.
Respectfully that wasnt a bad dialogue at all. Im ok with that conversation. A great employee speaking his piece regarding his livelihood, A great boss/owner having a solid conversation about it. That,s dope. I would not be surprised if Flip at least gets a middle ground decision sometime soon. It showed loyalty and a great presentation of accountability and effort. Salute bros.
So flip asked for a favor with an expiration date. That favor got extended because it went unnoticed until a couple months later and then when they decided to cut it off because that was the original agreement, how you get mad? Flip 100% wrong. I’m sure Joe will make it right but if flip wants an increase then the entire contract has to be renegotiated for both sides to win. That’s just business.
I wish I can go to work and conveniently keep getting free money from my boss then yell at him when he stops doing it and still have a job. That would be nice.
Joe gave him a advance and then a raise as he is heading towards the end of his contract. Seems like Joe has treated Flip better than anyone else but yet Flip is the only one complaining
This situation is black & white. Flip asked Joe for a favor & gave a time frame of 3 months. He couldve said no but Joe honors the favor & went pass the initial 3 months. He switched it back. Now Flip has an issue? Wtf did Joe do wrong? People have to get their emotions in check & look at things from a buisness perspective.
Joe was 100% business wise and Flip was wrong.. shouldn’t have taken it for a “Raise.” If he wanted to keep the same pay, ask for a renegotiation. HOWEVER Joe made the same mistake again… his lack of leadership shows again. Flip is literally saying “I don’t want them to tell me. You tell me!” And Joe says “I’m eating a steak.” Stepping aside and explaining to Flip could’ve avoided the spice.
@@Osideous Joe was at Dinner with Ish .. whether he was on a date or not, you still have to lead. “Hey Flip let me give you a call when I get home or first thing tomorrow morning and we discuss everything.” LEADERSHIP
@@jordanmt007 he said he was on a date. And not for nothing no one discusses business after a certain time. So for Flip to think that was okay was wild.
Black Business always gets treated like this bro it’s a contract you agreed to and your job to stick to the contract. You can’t get more money because we cool 😂🤡 Joe was nice gave exact money now he wants free money 🥴😮💨💀
This proves that people always want more even when its unreasonable. A grown man expecting another man to give him more than he asked for after it was a favor. I dont know what level of "sorry" this is, but its up there. Main reason i cant do business with a lot of people.
So flip assumed his raise that he requested was permanent after joe let it fly 2 months past the time requested . Flip unsound like a whole child in the situation
Joe, what are you doing? These guys literally complain about contracts half the time but don’t deliver on any substantive material (i.e. “oh I haven’t listened to that yet”, “oh I haven’t watched that yet”) what are they doing off air? I would not be able to keep my job if I spent 75% of the time complaining about compensation and how my boss was treating me and not doing any substantive work. This medium has devolved into a time suck and a drama channel with no real informative takes on the music industry, media or current events. Please fix this noisy nonsense channel before it disappears.
@@MrDrakeulah i can't remember exactly what they were fighting over, but it was basically a financial security thing. As the contract stood at that moment, Joe could fire Ish (or any cast member) whenever he wanted and not provide severance or something. Basically, in the event of firing or an abrupt departure by the host, Joe's company would not be held financially liable. This is typical across all industries, but Ish and his lawyers wanted some kind of kill clause that at least guarantees some kind of compensation in the event of departure. Ish was leveraging the fact he was losing money by doing the pod (at that time, which was like over a year ago) because he wasn't able to take more construction jobs. Joe said he was compensating him fairly, especially for an "entry level" position which set Ish OFF.
@MrDrakeulah the main issue was that Joe can fire Ish at will spur of the moment, while Ish has contract lengths. But if Ish does quit, JBP's only recourse is to sue Ish, which is a bill for the employer. Suing an employee? Fruitless expedition for most employees in this country most dont have any $. (Ish probably does) But if Joe gets Madd and fires Ish, Ish had to rearrange his construction business to accommodate a part time gig, not being able to take certain size job because he's not there everyday. So if Ish gets fired he's gotta rebuild is larger clients. Both sides had valid arguments.
If you wanna do a 3 month trial run of something, get paid for it and do it, then after come back after and have a conversation about if it should continue. Joe could, but it's on Flip to keep the conversation about work schedule and pay increase on track
Flip has the mindset of a child. its surprising how dudes like him even make it to the industry at all. man pretty much sayin he wanted Joe to pay him extra just for bein there lmaoooo
I get flip but if Joe continued longer than they both intended then realised, then flip shouldnt be upset just renegotiate on the low... unless im missing something Joe aint wrong
Flip lol what are you talking about ? You are definitely wrong. If you asked for extra for a certain amount of time (3 months) and ya man look out for you for 5! What’s the issue? Companies only give raises once a year. That’s a wild assumption G.
When a mofo is being skittish about giving the details on something they brought up is how you know they know they are wrong! This is why they try to beat around the bush to make things look better in their favor. I’m only wondering now how the other cast members feel regarding flip getting special treatment. Joe clearly doesn’t care because he’s willing to do that for all of them. Wow flip you are wrong as hell.
I love the way Joe handled this. Men in general need to do more of this....talk, express ourselves to each other and laugh about it and move on. We'll done Joe and Queenzflip. ❤
After what Joe been through with Rory and Mal, for Flip to think that Joe would operate outside the parameters of a contract is WILLLDDDDD…. When overpaying their employees, most companies would TAKE THAT EXTRA MONEY BACK!! Flip got two more months than he asked for, FOR FREE, and he’s crying? Flip is sounding spoiled and it’s not a good look. Talking about “keep doing xyz to keep your mans happy” 😂😂😂😂 GO TAKE A BUSINESS CLASS, FLIP
"The job is to keep them happy thats bringing in the numbers," yea, Flip would never make it in the business world with that mentality. The job is to compensate you fairly per the contract you signed. If you arent happy, see if you can re negotiate, but Joe is not obligated to go beyond the boundaries of that contract and exceed your regular payment just to keep you happy. You do your job, he pays you for that job. Its as simple as that. You cant ask for Joe to be a friend AND an employer and not expect for some compromises to happen. And on top of that, how can you demand non contractual, extra payments to be continued right in front of your co hosts who arent doing the same? Hell, the fact that Joe already (supposedly bc we dont know all the details) went beyond the contract and paid him extra should be enough right there. To act like he's not roing enough because he finally stopped the EXTRA payments, and went back to the regular contractually obligated payments, is just whiney entitled behavior.
The fact Flip is not speaking to Joe except when they are on air (according to Flip on the BS High coach episode), in which Flip is becoming hostile with Joe is super weird. I hate this for Joe, because he looked out for Flip. Flip has a history of not paying people (taking advantage). He took advantage of joe going an extra 2 months without confirming for his show and now wants to play victim.

@@QueenSuga405 they both fw each other since the beginning and the fans wanted it tf lmao
@@kndsampled377 no his ass there because he needs that bread tf
Ish: "Tap out man" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time Joe sticks out his hand looking out for other people they end up turning on him.
It's not a raise! It was an ADVANCE ! Using the wrong words is y everyone is confused. Saying "u shoulda kept it going" is wild 😂😂😂
Joe and contracts man, there's always something lmao
I feel like Flip spoke on this to “expose” that Joe is reasonable does right by his employees. Flip is always speaking highly of Joe & seems to be grateful for this opportunity. I don’t see Flip leaving the podcast because he’s the most important addition to the show. They’ll always figure the business when the respect & love is there.
Agree Flip makes the show funny its boring without him
Yup if you can see it clearly , Flip lowkey bigging joe up here and you can tell flip not really mad at all.
Friends and Family don’t mix with business.
Joe stopped laughing when he said i almost came to your house
Joe gave him a advance and then a raise as he is heading towards the end of his contract. Seems like Joe has treated Flip better than anyone else but yet Flip is the only one complaining
5:40 Is the exact reason why Flip wont last lol. This dummy really thinks he made a needle move at the JBP.🤦🏽♂️
😂😂😂😂😂 exactly. Get yo overdoing ass outta here bucko!
The views about doubled since him & Mel came though
U ask for an increase when you contract is about to be up bt in the meanwhile help grow the company
Come on flip we love you don’t go out like this
Flip is loud and wrong hahahaha. He outed himself at 10:00 mark. It's not an employers job to give you extra money just to "keep you happy." WTF
Joe and Flip basically living out the situation with Mal and Rory for content so people can see what it was in Joes opinion. 😂😂😂
Exactly!!!
I hate when Ninjas say, “you know why I am upset”. Wasting time, just say it!!!!
Math is right
These dudes are soft
If you have a problem
Dont hold it in
Bring it up as soon as it happens
Joe was 100% business wise and Flip was wrong.. shouldn’t have taken it for a “Raise.” If he wanted to keep the same pay, ask for a renegotiation. HOWEVER Joe made the same mistake again… his lack of leadership shows again. Flip is literally saying “I don’t want them to tell me. You tell me!” And Joe says “I’m eating a steak.” Stepping aside and explaining to Flip could’ve avoided the spice.
Joe eating dinner with a date isn't the time for business to be discussed. Also Flip said he ran into the accountant
So for Flip to think that was okay was wild.
not sure how I got here but Flip shouldve had this convo man 2 man first. He sound like Bizznatch.
It's literally only happened twice and each time for different things. Ish was over a kill clause and this is Flip wylin
@P0k3D0nd3M4cG what do you mean about a kill clause in ish contract? Explain like I'm Flip.
@@P0k3D0nd3M4cG He also can't quit before the contract is up. That was the main arguing point.
(Ish probably does)
But if Joe gets Madd and fires Ish, Ish had to rearrange his construction business to accommodate a part time gig, not being able to take certain size job because he's not there everyday. So if Ish gets fired he's gotta rebuild is larger clients. Both sides had valid arguments.
This should be a very private conversation between these 2 and only these 2!
Joe is brilliant for leaving this in.. this is a microcosm of a bigger problem. Lack of order, rank, respect for trailblazers..
He left it in because it’s one of the rare examples of a situation where he is 100% in the right…
Flip you recieved a blessing if he didn't ask for the extra two months back. Flip you wrong.
In most companies, you ask for an advance, you sign paperwork agreeing to pay back ALL of the money advanced, just like the record label.
No flip you emotional on this tipic
this feels like how Raury and Maul situation started
Sounds like Flip owes Joe money lol
When ish said “shorty in the red dress lookin like sumn”
M. Ford looked at him like “nigga what….nigga who” 10:45
How unprofessional is he ? Terrible
does anyone know what episode this is?
Flip is on some b.s
Flip really asked for a favour , got it then expected it to be the new norm LOL . Dirty work.
They set this segment up just to have Joe be right on this topic for once 😂
😂😂😂
Flip wrong 😂 that’s why he ain’t wanna tell the story. When niggas right they can’t wait to tell that shit! Especially Queens niggas
Flip can leave and no one will miss him
I get flip but if Joe continued longer than they both intended then realised, then flip shouldnt be upset just renegotiate on the low... unless im missing something Joe aint wrong
Flip lol what are you talking about ? You are definitely wrong. If you asked for extra for a certain amount of time (3 months) and ya man look out for you for 5! What’s the issue? Companies only give raises once a year. That’s a wild assumption G.
Chiggs just got himself a new drop
Meanwhile flip don’t pay any of his groupies any money ! He’s a scammer
Flip need to get a Hold on His Mental Health Sitch-eye-Ation 😂
Send flip back to Queenz making chicken outside and doing dumb ass skits. Feed them and they want more. Send him home Joe.
I hate when i give, they dont say thank you, like what if all i had is what i gave you" - Tsu Surf
Flip is wrong sorry
“Tapout”
Ish is HILARIOUS.
This that “Rory and Mal” energy.
