So true about the birds I started to feed the birds in my garden to attract them and now I don't feed them any more and they stay around my garden amongst the flowers eating all the little bugs Great to sit and watch them at dusk as they chase the litter bugs
I rent, and can only grow things in containers by my front door and the sides of the driveway, but still manage tons of different edibles and flowers for the bugs and the hummingbirds, there are always bumblebees, hover flies, little wasps all over my garden "strips". I also added a 12x2 inch serving tray from the dollar store with a $14 little solar fountain from Amazon, I see birdies regularly taking baths there, and at night I've seen raccoons and a little skunk come by for a sip. I've barely had any pests this year! Build it and they will come indeed 🙂
Blue Crown Passion fruit is a nice delicate 5 lobe vine that produces an abundance of egg size oval soft fruits and beautiful flowers! Only need 1 vine super fast grower. Although I would place it in a pot and never let it touch the ground. For your chicken coop back fence.
The plants were slow as well over in Colorado. We had more rain and it was colder. My plants stunted for a long time. The real grow just started now at the end of August. Great podcast keep it up.
Thanks guys Love listening to these videos while I'm stuck at work Motivates me to get out into my garden and get growing ❤👍 Been following both of you guys channels for a while👍
I always wonder how you don’t seem to have to deal with gophers. As an East county San Diegan I feel like I’m channeling Bill Murray in my effort to outsmart the gophers. I’m so jealous of your in ground beds!
I bought myself a BGE several years ago. There is definitely a learning curve, but it's worth it! It's not necessary to let it get that hot if you're going to smoke. I just bring it up to about 300 and then close the top and bottom vent till there's maybe an inch open on both to bring it down to 250 or 275 or whatever you want to smoke at. ALWAYS lift the lid only about 3" for a couple of seconds to let the air circulate so you don't get a flare-up, as you learned the hard way!
I, too, transplanted my January-planted seedlings in early April before leaving on a 3 week trip. Too early in this cool spring! They stunted and were much smaller than the ones I planted when I came home. 🙁
I’ve been Whole Foods for years. There are loads of recipes with zucchini or cauliflower pizza dough. Binder is gluten free chickpea flour. I still eat pizza.
For slugs/snails, we recommend either beer traps or an organic slug & snail bait. Pill bugs are both friends and potential foes in the garden - and we have a whole article on them on the Epic Gardening website here: www.epicgardening.com/pill-bugs/
My German brain was confused at the name for a second😅 Beet = growing bed in German, so very fitting, but I first thought it's something from a German garden youtuber😂
Silkies and Polish are cute! They’re sweet little birds
Jacques without a hat??! Who is this man?!! I don’t know who the man in the blue shirt is. Lol
"It's like a tomato you find on the ground - at the mall.." omg. dying! 😂
My favorite chicken is Golden Comet: super sweet personalities and good egg producers.

Have you guys thought about doing a paid, live class for setting up irrigation?
Got a hold of some experimental seeds , American beautyberry, germinating them now can't wait to see how they grow 😁

Wow I keep sowing seeds in Jan. ...way too early. But continuel succession sow...
I really didn’t want this video to end. I kept looking to see how much time it had left until it ended and kept hoping the time would slow down.😂
I always love when Harvest Moon comes up in conversation, A Wonderful Life was my jam growing up.... and still is 😂
Finally a podcast for me lol

We've been taking our ToasterOven/Air Fryer outside to cook. Keeps the heat and smell outside.
I’ve been Whole Foods for years. There are loads of recipes with zucchini or cauliflower pizza dough. Binder is gluten free chickpea flour. I still eat pizza.
How did you get rid of your mites?
Jacque outdoor cooking coming soon

I didn’t recognize home without the hat!
Great pod cast. We call it yard sauce.
Hummingbirds love my Windwalker red salvia and then they visit my garden and catch flying insects. I’ve had a lot less mosquitos this year.
❤ u guys! Can you please share your sour dough pizza crust recipe? 🍕 🍕
We will!
What do you guys recommend for pill bugs and slugs? They are decimating my strawberries this year!

Hey Eric that sounds like Jacques but it doesn't look like Jacques, Jacques wears a hat
Great for peeps who don't follow y'all elsewhere. Love the dynamic duo, but slightly disappointed.
