I remember in my youth listening to Greig Peer Gynt Suite, Stanley Black London Symphony orchestra in the early seventies on vinyl obviously. This is a fantastic interpretation from Bergen. Very enjoyable indeed.

Je ne connaissais pas cette oeuvre (comme beaucoup, j'etais seulement familier de Peer Gynt et du magnifique concerto pour piano). Mais cette suite est magnifique ! Et que dire du merveilleux orchestre et de son chef! Bravo, bravissimo!!!
Beautiful piece wonderfully performed. What a gem this orchestra is and what a delight this conductor is... definitely a marriage made in heaven. Gardner moves on but his work with this orchestra is much appreciated... and it lives on here on TH-cam.
