So the Bergen Phil plays this better than the Berlin Phil under Karajan or Furtwangler. Quite extra-ordinary. Best wishes from George, half British, half Norwegian.
@@BergenPhilharmonicOrchestra Thank you for so many lovely performances on TH-cam. Sadly I have never been to Bergen. My grandparents came from Fredrikstad and Oslo and lived in Moss which is quite far from your city. We used to get half way there going to Skurdalen [near Geilo], most summers till my grandmother died in 2000. I have been to Norway only four times since, and sadly will probably never visit your lovely country again. No ferries from UK anymore and I am terrified of aeroplanes. But having the chance to listen to your splendid orchestra as well as the Oslo Phil and other music making from Norway makes me realise that a small population in a great country can produce World class artistic triumphs. I would emigrate to Norway tomorrow if I could afford to. Would I be allowed in? I don't know, even with a Norwegian mother ... Thank you and best wishes from George Fredrik
@@georgejohnson1498 Thank you for sharing your story with us. I do hope you'll be able to visit Norway sooner or later. Also I want to inform you about our own streaming service - Bergenphilive.no - with hundreds of works available for free.
@@BergenPhilharmonicOrchestra Thank you for your own music system. For sure, I shall get many hours of listening pleasure from this! Best wishes from George
