      When mine hatched directly from the farm, I got 3 sparkly 🤣 I love them too!! 💗 Also, I got 2 faded pearl in assuming it's snowy. I also liked the snowy so I don't mind this as well.

      I know you breed Pearl to Pearl for awhile. What do you breed sometimes with the Pearls?

      @@scottphillips4544 I got a few unique colors by breeding my pearl to a very unique falb fee roo I lovingly named So Chill. He came from a MyShire egg. What was unique about So Chill was the last 3 feathers on both wings were solid white, he was really dark and the high color feature feathers on his back had white spine with a really thick white inner band contrast to he's really dark feather. He had rings around his neck and otherwise was a standard falb fee. I bred him to several classic pearl hens. I took those babies looking for roo that looked closest to So Chill with the white spine and thick white inner band all the way down the feather. (I got several variations to choose from) And bred them to both pastel hens from MyShire. I wanted the pastel rue coloring configuration on the head and the eyes with the fee and white feather combo but in the falb fee coloring and you can't breed pastelles with each other anyways so of we went. Several generations later i got my wish with 1 rooster. This rooster is still with me today. He has the German Patel head color style around the eyes. The lower half of his wings are solid white. He is super dark like a pearl and has a show feather with white spine and thick white line in the middle. His chest is white like a Tuxedo but he has a partial ring on the lower chest that fades to white. He looks very extinguished and beautiful.
      Sadly all my efforts were in vain because even tho I got the color combo I was going for, I introduced some bad genetics from birds I adopted from a local farm (NOT MYSHIRE) really early on which caused two problems, either they got bulbus enlarged eyes in the unborn and they don't hatch or that trate showing up later in life causing the bird to go completely blind or they had brain issues where they would become very dizzy. My hatch rates went down to 34% from 75% and the ones that survived into adulthood ended up going bulbus eyes and blind or extremely dizzy by 1 year old... After they had babies theatrically. Really bad! Be careful what genetics you pick. I love MyShire birds and will never adopt from the other farm again! I am restarting my flock and gonna try this breeding again to accomplish the beautiful white wing tuxedo with the white ring around the eyes with thick white line and spine on the feathers in all different colors like i had before. Big huge loss... But the knowledge is always with me.
      Learn from my mistakes!
      My birds provide me meat and eggs and playing with the colors gives me something fun to do. Feel free to add me on IG looking for my name kasumirosecreations with the same picture icon. Thank you for reading this wall of text. Have a lovely Sunday

    thanks for letting me know they take longer to feather in I hatched an english white at the same time as italians and wilds and it was almost a week behind in terms of feathers even thouggh they hatched within the same 2 day span. very interesting

    You have done a lot of research into quail farming, it's really obvious as to what extent those sources of information have influenced your attitude and approach...

    Hi zack i hatched a load of eggs few weeks ago, to hope for pearl i had Pansy eggs mixed with them. The chicks are doing good but i can't find any pictures for reference on what juvenile pearl looks like i think iv a load of pansy can't see pearl. Do you have any videos with young pearl chicks?

    What color would be a pearl with brown spots on feathers mixed with the black? I ordered 25 pearl eggs and 25 pansy fee eggs. The chicks are almost 3 weeks old now. Out of the fees, I got 2 white birds.
    Out of the pearls I got some very dark birds and a couple Pharos with white instead of gold. I’m most curious about the couple pearls I have with some brown spots mixed in with their black spots. :) thank you!

    Will a English white and a Italian make a pearl. If so dose it matter what sex you cross. Thanks for your videos they really help.

    • @MyshireFarm
      @MyshireFarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. White will only give you tuxedos. Fee and Italian makes Pearl and it is better to have the fee be male
