Lol. Great episode with a fun fight to watch. Cardgames are just sacky by nature, and VG is also a special case of it to where part of your strat a lot of the time is anticipating triggers anyway.
Agreed!!! For me one of the best things about Vanguard are definitely the triggers since the appearance of even 1 trigger can change the whole outcome of the fight. BTW has anyone ever face an opponent who always get triggers for their damage check? I have face one opponent who does exactly that and their damage zone are nothing but trigger units, every turn I thought would end the fight they would always get a trigger allowing them to guard for less amount of cards until finally I used up all of my hands & Counterblast and lost the fight. Good game to my opponent but it sure was frustrating though
@@liavateinn5195 While I like the trigger in this game bc it adds surprise factor, this game should still be a lot of skill element to make it good competitive game. I just hate OT bc of how it can toss any skill base out of the window and can let newbies win just bc of his/her luck. However, I think the concept trigger with unique effect is cool. If it only gives 10k power and has tone-down effect of current OT. I think that would a lot more interesting and healthy for the game.
@@cardnacn6704 Yes, I also agree that OT is too much for the game. I mean I literally lost 1 fight because of 1 trigger that keeps appearing during their damage check and that was only plus 10000.
Michiru would of lose if he did not draw his OT for that guard value against yuyu regardless if yuyu drive check a ot or not. I think this is a very well writen fight, and people complaining about yuyu drive check ot as if michiru did not get a ot as well 🙄. I think this is episode did OT mechanics justice, vanguard is like poker, small % percentage stuff happens and its part of being a good player to play around those chances.
I was wondering how they would handle Yu-Yu beating Michiru and they did not disappoint. Yu-Yu wasn't handed the win he earned it and Michiru wasn't weakened for the sake of the plot.
@@Jachidos well yuyu could have just given the 100 million to the vanguard and had it attack again since the dragon empire over trigger stands your vanguard.

Yeah, Raika is definitely gonna try to destroy Yu-yu next episode. Fight was epic, no doubt. And Michiru's observation of Yu-yu during the fight...? Yeah, definitely something to be worried about.
No. If Yuyu got 2 Xoverdress units on the field, Raika won't stand a chance. He never pulled that off before, he only ever managed to have 1 Xoverdress unit all the time. Say he managed to gather Bram and Baul Vairina, it's gg for Raika.
This was a great episode. Its unfortunate to see Michiru like that. I wonder what he is sick with. I wonder if it has any link to psyqualia. Also Raika is shaken of course. Michiru is his idol and seeing him lose like that must be tough. Hopefully this fight helps Raika start to understand more ab himself and others. He's my favorite character, I cant wait for the next wp.
Is it me or has Yu-Yu slowly yet progressively been obsessed with winning..? Like in the Mirei Arc he was obsessed with beating the Greedon guy and now at like 15:06 he had kinda a creepy smile?
That's the lesson Yuyu is being taught. It was just a game where it's just let's have a good match and he didn't care if he won or lost, but he has been driven to take fights seriously and actually desire the win, because he has motivations for winning now. He learns the thrill of competition, the rush of having yourself cornered, and having to figure out how to claw out of hopeless situations. He is seeing the game the way Danji, Michiru, and Tohya are, and he's having fun in spite being the one getting brutally beaten down.
Raika saw Yuyu as nothing more but a stepping stone for his chance to battle Michiru in the final battle. But now looks like Raika is not going to get his chance to defeat the person he considers his one true opponent. I wonder if his opinion of Yuyu has changed or he probably thinks that it was a fluke that Yuyu won just by drawing a lucky card.
Baur Vairina and Nirvana Jheva combo cost 3 CB to drive check 4 cards a lot of CB but is a strong turn if one gets a least 2 triggers. Finally a Vairina that uses the soul on my main phase. And the prayer dragon that goes too soul and gives a Xdress unit 10k,LOVE IT.
It makes Bramada nearly useless in the deck with that amount of CB with the deck focusing on Baul Vairina. Besides Baul is weak to resist units. Having 2 resist units on the field will destroy Baul full power with ease.
Ok this episode as expected had a predictable and cliched result which Yu-yu didn't earn (especially since Yu-yu pulled an overtrigger for the win) but it's still enjoyable. From the looks of it Michiru wants to see his opponents to enjoy the cardfight while facing him and yet that won't happen since his opponents are so fixated on beating him that it won't happen. Until he fought against Yu-yu that is. I also like Baur Varina's skill, tho I still don't get how it takes a drive check to get one. Also it looks like the animators made sure Michiru had a lot of close ups for the female audience. Next episode will be the awaited rematch everyone expected Yu-yu vs Raika. Can't wait to see the pure rage Raika has on Yu-yu in thier fight for beating his Idol.
No if you didn’t get Baur Vairina Yuyu would have lost because his over trigger was a total of five cards down to be pull out and if he didn’t get Baur he wouldn’t have gotten it on his turn or wouldn’t gotten for his damage check because with Nirvana twin drive it would still be three cards down from being revealed.
Feels like watching Chronojet VS Phantom Blaster Dragon. Also Michiru remind me of some guy tht got into Magical Girls world with some blue haired woman. Hahaha
"When your opponent has less than one RG" he says as he then activates the skill with Michiru clearly still with one RG on board. Either that's a translation error, or Yuyu cheated.
Did yu yu have an extra cb left as well? If michiru hadn't lost in that exact moment then even if after he miraculously survives a second vg attack he'd have to (again, miraculously) survive a 100million rg attack with 2 crit AND another drive check lol yu yu would have had the turn of his life
Not a bad episode, Michiru face I couldn't stop pausing the screen to comment on how sussy they were lol. But the fight wasn't that bad, saw that OT coming ever since Michiru face checked top two. My favorite fight is Still Urara vs Yuyu it was a lot more relatable and actually made me think Yuyu had a chance of losing for the sake of Urara development, that fight felt more intense and lasted longer, it also kind of made me think there was gonna be a losers bracket lmao
I like how the only way that yuyu would ever win in that position is if he pull an overtrigger in which display why the whole community is against overtrigger in the first place.
Ehh I disagree Yuyu did board wipe him and managed to get a few cards in his hand. Had he pulled a Perfect and maybe another trigger he would’ve been able to survive. Michiru hand was mostly defensive.
No? If his VG checked a second trigger and Vairinia checked one he would still win. He only needed to push 20k power. Also, Michiru would have survived if he pulled a heal trigger.
Bullshit. You only have ONE OT in a deck. It's not game breaking or unfair. You can't abuse it. You can't gain anything from it that your opponent can't gain themselves. Bitch about it all you want, it doesn't make the bitching sensible.
It was, as michiru said, very drammatic how yuyu draw rhe over trigger and won (i was truly afraid that he would lose against michiru; luckily, i was wrong). Anyway, i hope that michiru is ok 🥺😦😧😨
The more this series goes on with Michiru, the more I feel like he's on Psyqualia. This guy's foreshadowing the match basically on crack. He's basically the new Ren but mains a Dark Zone/States deck. & of course, Yuyu's gonna win by any means so that the MC plot story could go on. It's Raika vs Yuyu down the line.
Almost anyone can do it as all cards are released on Booster Packs so everyone has knowledge of what cards do. For example in DD you can "proxy play" other people's decks, etc. The soul thing is kinda wierd but I've seen enough wierder ppl IRL.

Seriously tho people act like these things never happened irl like come you how many times I get the Yuyu/Raika moment lol
I think this is episode did OT mechanics justice, vanguard is like poker, small % percentage stuff happens and its part of being a good player to play around those chances.
but OT is much weaker when you draw it compare to drive it, OT makes vanguard a coin flip
@@TheChosenOne462 it should be weaker since you can try to redraw for it.
I’m glad that finally michiru fight with fighter who smile with him
... Why the Thumbnail gives me the feels like "come here pogchamp" O.o
Raika rn probably: "It should have been me, not him! It's not fair!"
Michiru looking extra clean
That over trigger timing make me excited
I was wondering how they would handle Yu-Yu beating Michiru and they did not disappoint. Yu-Yu wasn't handed the win he earned it and Michiru wasn't weakened for the sake of the plot.
Overtrigger says otherwise.
@@Blue-Code he only needed an over trigger because Michiru had an over trigger to defend himself.
@@vanguardplays3418 Any PG on that last attack would have rendered the OT meaningless.
@@Jachidos well yuyu could have just given the 100 million to the vanguard and had it attack again since the dragon empire over trigger stands your vanguard.
@@vanguardplays3418 True but then he needed one more crit as Michiru had 4 damages.
Ey Yoooo Michiru climbing up the husbando rankings like damn boi chiiiilll.😳😳😏
This is incredible full of excitement and suspense, we may have known who would win but we never know how and I'm thoroughly happy with this because the fight was an absolute blast with both just playing to have fun that's what vanguards about, but I am concerned with michiru WHAT HAPPENED TO MAH BOI HE'S KNOCKED OUT! 😭
Just realized, last week we got knight vs knight and then this week we got dragon vs dragon. Neat.
Also that thumbnail tho are you doing Michiru lol as if you don't look like a hentai protag enough.
and now we get dress x dress
20:00 they are so stunned. Usually they announce the winner right away but not this time. Good attention to detail they made. Obvious reaction if world class champion losing
Michiru's lost proves no one is invincible even the strongest loose
Yeah, Raika is definitely gonna try to destroy Yu-yu next episode. Fight was epic, no doubt. And Michiru's observation of Yu-yu during the fight...? Yeah, definitely something to be worried about.
No. If Yuyu got 2 Xoverdress units on the field, Raika won't stand a chance. He never pulled that off before, he only ever managed to have 1 Xoverdress unit all the time. Say he managed to gather Bram and Baul Vairina, it's gg for Raika.
@@kodokutamashi1569 You need a lot of resources to pull off two Xoverdress. It would probably cost Yu-yu his entire hand if he pulls that off.
Gotta love the shock on Raika's face😏
Someone please give me a clean listen to yuyu's theme at 18:26, freakin love this track and I loved the whole fight!
They have to release the soundtracks. There are so many good ones.
@@lukesun4975 I hope they will. Bavsargra's theme, I want it so bad.
Finally, I will get to see Rock Agour and maybe Falcate Presenter to complete Drajewelled deck 😭
NGL secretly hoping Falcate will be a generic card somehow because the upcoming Luquier deck can definitely use talented performers like him
The best episode ever !!!! I love it
the over trigger finally worked as it is supposed to instead of being the sign the charcater will lose
I've been convinced psyqualia would return. I'm not so sure anymore...
Ok i need these OSTs
Is it me or has Yu-Yu slowly yet progressively been obsessed with winning..? Like in the Mirei Arc he was obsessed with beating the Greedon guy and now at like 15:06 he had kinda a creepy smile?
not really ,it been explain that almost every opponent michiru fight is fixated on beating him
That's the lesson Yuyu is being taught.
That thumbnail gives me chills
Baul Vairina didn't seem that broken. Unfortunately Demonic Stone dragons didn't have resisted unit.
Raika saw Yuyu as nothing more but a stepping stone for his chance to battle Michiru in the final battle. But now looks like Raika is not going to get his chance to defeat the person he considers his one true opponent. I wonder if his opinion of Yuyu has changed or he probably thinks that it was a fluke that Yuyu won just by drawing a lucky card.
raika vs yuyu round 2 is going to be the best fight of the season
I need the full version of the song.
Top decking an overtrigger. Timeless
This episode is just so pretty.
That was one brutal fight Yu-yu's now the real champ
Where are you on discord dsv
Congratulations Yu-Yu! When overdress started i didn't like you but now you are my second favorite protagonist.
Michiru. What happend you? qwq
Raika: Imma smack you, YuYu.
Loosing to OT was the only way I would see it happening. Also question when the rearguard got the OT does it's second effect trigger?
Love the song played in the end of the fight is it up to hear fully please comment if so
Damn it has been so looong since he drew "that" card XD
Michiru, did he hold me... 😳
That soundtrack that played during Baur Vairina's final attack sounded interesting. I would like to know its name.
Its a grade 3 so it has twin drive if it was on the VG, otherwise none on RG.
No if you didn’t get Baur Vairina Yuyu would have lost because his over trigger was a total of five cards down to be pull out and if he didn’t get Baur he wouldn’t have gotten it on his turn or wouldn’t gotten for his damage check because with Nirvana twin drive it would still be three cards down from being revealed.
yea, it was so cliche an predictible, just to force drama, match was secondary to a shitty plot point.
@@YGOHermit if is shitty what are you doing here ?
I thought it was gone 3 years ago for anima and still on for new vanguard 0
AGAINST ALL ODDS literally... Yu-yu pulls off a SHEER... SHEER MIRACLE.😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Battle of the Dress next 😁
Feels like watching Chronojet VS Phantom Blaster Dragon. Also Michiru remind me of some guy tht got into Magical Girls world with some blue haired woman. Hahaha
Can't wait for the next episode
From the cover, I'm starting to wonder at some point Michiru what's going on with him right now. including the following events
Michiru do be attracting all those E-girls in the thumbnail
Amazing plot armor... @w@
"When your opponent has less than one RG" he says as he then activates the skill with Michiru clearly still with one RG on board. Either that's a translation error, or Yuyu cheated.
That is indeed a translation error, card text says "one or less"
Cardfight Vanguard Will+Dress episode 12 will start next week
The cardfight was great, although it would have been more meaningful if this was the finals, then this victory would have been more epic.
If that rear guard checks the over trigger the additional effect of DE's overtrigger would restand the vg right?
Dragveda’s Additional Effect explicitly said “choose one of your vanguards, and Stand it”
Did yu yu have an extra cb left as well?
Overtrigger is a beyond stupid idea that ruined the match easily. I hate it the most.
Ehh I disagree Yuyu did board wipe him and managed to get a few cards in his hand. Had he pulled a Perfect and maybe another trigger he would’ve been able to survive. Michiru hand was mostly defensive.
@@jordangreene8125 If Michiru got another turn with another Rock Agul, Yuyu can only survive with heal
17:03 it looks like there is one rear guard left. So how in the heck can he activate a skill when it says less than 1 rear guard
I think it's mistranslation, the skill actually says "1 or less"
I'm sorry that thumbnail is giving me Ren Suzugamori vibes
"Until I get to fight you guys again....."
"I'm gonna sleep"
does anyone know what cardfight booster box and trial deck gonna go up too for dear days I wanna use drajewell revolcross and the new nirvana but they surely should have the grade 4 in their right
Unfortunately it will be up to Set 5 and Festival Collection. Will+Dress will be DLC
can anyone tell me what the theme song at the when yu-yu pull the overtrigger?
He said by Yuiko
Does anyone know the background song when yuyu was about to win? Thanks
BGM name "He said"
My perdition is in this episode will be foreshadowing of the set up for season 2 of will +dress
Nah, they won't spoil anything for season 2. There are a bunch of counter cards will be released after season 1 is over
15:20 is what some people are here for.
