It seems to be like the opponent disarmed Shadow and he used his arms. But rewatch it. He clearly throw his sword just to catch it after he beats them. Truly showing the difference.
The pink haired girl was Sherry lol. Also fun fact, Cid is actually more skilled in hand to hand combat. Of course a sword makes it easier to kill. And season 2 was already confirmed as there is a teaser out already on TH-cam. So we can probably expect s2 next year. Hopefully early.

One thing that makes this anime so well done is by how much it makes you feel like a 13 year old just discovering a type of edge lord show like this for the first time.
the witches art was arouras skill lol. also anytime Shadow says 'playtime is over', you are S.O.L.... also notice the rain and clouds completely gone when he was done, that nearly an act of god right there.
I recommend an anime with a very good story, it's called fate stay night, but you have to watch it in the correct order, which would be fate stay night from 2006, then fate zero, following fate unlimited blade works and finally fate heaven feels, you can It may be long but the story is very good, highly recommended
Some other isekai worth checking out would be: - Konosuba (Comedy, Fantasy) (I recommend the most tbh) - Overlord (Probably the closest isekai to Eminece in Shadow in terms of an op protag with an op group of people that think of him highly) but the similarities stop there. This show isn't really a comedy it's more world building...action/fantasy Notable other shows: - Tanya the Evil (WW2/Military/Fantasy) - ReZero (psychological, Drama)

The source material is known as the grandfather of Isekai and established a lot of the tropes that are still being done today but without them feeling tacky or cliche. Seriously recommend it. A little bit controversial at times but if you see the main character as a very flawed person who's trying to change then it's very interesting

It makes them a lot stronger then the rest. 10 Girl's have gotten it from him. The original 7, Claire, Rose and one other. She's a "noobie" in Shadow Garden but because she received the power directly from Cid she's a special case. Not exactly much of a spoiler because it actually hasn't happened or been confirmed to happen. But Epsilon had an off handed comment about possibly making a "Second generation" 7 shadows. If they did this Rose would most likely be apart of it. So yea she won't just be a random member lol.

According to a reputable leaker, season 2 is scheduled for Fall 2023. Don't worry about Rose she has remained plot relevant in the novels so far, she doesn't just get relegated to the background. That whole fight with Beatrix and Iris, Shadow was massively holding back. He intentionally matched their speed and gave them time to react. Shadow is perfectly capable of moving at supersonic speeds, so they wouldn't be able to even perceive his attack before dying. He's also able to accelerate his perception to the point where it appears as if time had stopped, we see this early on when he spars with his sister and pretends to be weak. What he was doing when he "teleported" and attacked Beratrix was actually blending in with the natural environment. Just like how you can't focus on every drop of rain, Shadow is capable of slipping out of focus and merging with the natural environment. To his opponent is would appear as if he simply disappeared momentarily. He intentionally held back when doing this so that Beatrix would have time to react, or she would have died. All of this is not even to mention his insane sword skills and martial arts. He learned every martial art and weapon throughout history on Earth and is capable of mixing them together. Comparatively, martial arts here are extremely undeveloped due to a reliance on magic and each kingdom guarding their knowledge only allowing the select few to be taught. That's why in terms of swordplay alone he was impressed by Beatrix, saying she is almost as good as the Shadow Garden members. They had the advantage of learning martial arts from Cid who had access to thousands of years of history and development on Earth, but Beatrix basically had to figure it out on her own.

Shadow sent the nuke up into the sky and blew away the storm in its entirety. Also what I can see, shadow has varying degrees of I am atomic. Episode 5 seems to be his weakest I am atomic, some sort of tactile nuke with limited range. Then the all range I am atomic, not sure what makes it different, maybe it evenly spreads the I am atomic, not sure. Then there was this episode which showed his range was more than enough to cover the entire city, not just a few blocks like episode 5. The pink haired girl who was hating on shadow was cherry from the school terrorist arch, who lost her daddy. Season 2 has been announced, but no time table for release yet. I liked how the credits switched Rose's name out at the end to 666 lol it was great. If you want a fun Easter egg, go back to the last minute of episode 1, there's an overview of all the girls in shadowgarden involved in whatever operation is happenning with the scene and there's a shot of a Blond from behind with cut hair but who has two ringlets.... me thinks this is rose as part of shadow garden.

Episode 5 is the standard, it focuses on a single target but still causes massive damage to the area. The All-Range Atomic is intended to cause destruction in all directions. There's not really a huge difference between these two since even when focusing on a single target the sheer amount of force in the attack means a ton of collateral damage anyways. Yes he is able to change the power output as desired, it's not clear if covering the entire city was his limit or not. But likely not since he just causally leaves afterwards and is fine. When he uses atomic it doesn't have to be an explosion or even an attack. Cid basically just uses the word atomic with relevant prefixes whenever a skill he created uses large amounts of magic that is supposed to be well beyond human ability.
3 things 1) F for iris getting her ego “I am atomic”, having a mythical weapon, probably National treasure, stopped by a crowbar, and being as useful in that fight as vegeta was in gt. 2) alexia won the tournament by being the last one standing. 3) season 2 soon ™️
