Been ages since I last played Digimon World 2 on the PS1. I beat the game and tried to get the Ultimate Digi-Beetle parts that my Strategy Guide from that era told me which was talk to these NPCs... 99 times. I gave up as I didn't know what count I was at and their dialogue boxes were pretty long. This Alternative Mod... does it fix up the dialogue? It's been so long I forgot what the characters said or the enemies' motivates were so watching this video, did GAIA said that in the original or should I say the English script of this game? Until I noticed Chaos Lord and Jijimon here and realize... this part never happened. I think? I only beat DW2 and never touched it again. Still as frustrating as the game was back in the day, I did enjoy it. Especially when I got Veemon and evolved him to Flamedramon, Raidramon, and finally Imperialdramon. I think I recall the Bugs and I despise the Return Bugs. So many resets.
As far as I've seen, the story and dialogue have been rewritten in such a way that most story beats are maintained, but framed in a more elaborate way. It even takes a few liberties to establish a clearer continuity with the other World games, whereas in canon that's a lot more nebulous. They definitely knew how to take advantage of DW2's unique setting.
There's no patch for skipping the animation but you can reduce the duration of that animation by using duckstation emulator then go to settings, system, look for cd rom seek speed up and cd rom read speed up, set both to highest value

Enemy does "assist" then it does all damage on other team lol. Nice I guess it's like that to show how corrupted gaia is

Tidak wave and scissor claw omega is what you need to beat this game

@@amonvalk3089late reply but the middle boss AOE can delete Counter Attacks. Also Jijimon's Nail Crusher cannot be countered
