He didnt ask for any of this, he was a victim.

What I love about this song is that it describes Shadow's True Character perfectly. And how Maria sees Shadow and what she really wants him to be. A good person with a good heart of pure gold.

Metal Overlord didn’t really get a remix, just a remaster. Which is funny because Metal Sonic’s theme in the OG generations was kind of a remaster too, it was made by the same composer as the original SSZ Bad Future JP after all.
Tbf, Biolizard was a failed Ultimate Lifeform, and was practically suffering and struggling just to live. Shadow just gave it the mercy kill it wanted/needed. And this second battle, he can understand it better rather than just being disgusted by it like he was the first time.
