    It's actually already over, definition of a reserve currency is a currency you need for international trade and therefore has to have a reserve of.
    China controls half of all global manufacturing and the supply chain of almost everything, including the weapons US military uses goes through China.
    The only reason USD is still a reserve currency is because China accepts it for payment.
    China follows the Art of War which is to win before you fight. We're currently between the winning and Americans being informed that the fighting is already over.

    No there is no de dollarization as long as US stocks markets are safe haven in the world that would just suck in global capitals in USD. Moreover the second largest economy China best growing companies are listed in US stocks markets that means priced in dollars. Say what you want this is not happening unless China is kicked out of US stocks then other companies will follow. Then we are talking about a different picture gradually.

    • @ajaykumarsingh702
      @ajaykumarsingh702 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But USA is doing exactly that.
      They are decoupling from China gradually day by day.
      Once the critical Chinese companies like Huawei are ousted by the US stock exchange, there will be nothing left for China to trade with the USA in the long term.
      USA is killing its dollar dominance itself. The talk about de-dollarization didn't come out of thin air. There are good reasons behind it.

      But times have changed. In those time you didn't have an industrial powerhouse like China, USSR wasn't even this much powerful when it came to international trade. USD get it's most of the boost from the oil trade but few year down the line all the petrol diesel vehicles will be replaced by EV, in which segment china dominates. Same as solar. If china takes Taiwan forcefully or politically than it's over for USD.

      From Iran to Afghanistan, the global south felt something about the assets just seized/frozen by the West. But they moved on. Now, it's Russia. The issue comes up so clearly again. This time, China jumps in and makes a real difference (China's the largest trading partner to most countries in the world). Holding Yuan, those countries can buy Chinese smartphone, Chinese EV, Chinese Solar panel/Wind Turbine, Chinese 5G, Chinese satellite. Pretty much almost everything! China and the Global South then wonder: hey, why are we going through Dollar anyway?
