But then that gives you less time to get up to speed it decreases effective distance at top speed but with the freezes acceleration it technically gives more time to catch up because while you are accelerating he is catching up. Sure you are remaining at top speed at the end but when he starts goung you want to be at top speed to maximize the lead and if you are going 15 as he stops until he hits 15 you are gaining distance only once he eclipses 15 does he start to catch up. Maximize starting distance and maintain a decent speed at the end if possible. It’s all about acceleration vs top speed
@J Ygb but while you are accelerating to top speed which is slower than his top speed and he has faster acceleration you actually give him more time to catch up. It’s most important to stay above the freezes speed as long as possible and capitalize on his start as long as possible.
The hundred meter world record is 9:58. This dudes best time is 10:47. He's almost a full second behind the world record and he still destroys most of these fans. Just goes to show how insanely fast these professional athletes are. Crazy
I mean you do have to consider he’s a full second behind a WORLD record set by someone who probably dedicated years of their lives to setting it like cmon man give him and the fans a break lmao
Yes. The 40-yard dash times are very familiar to sports fans these days because of the NFL and college football. So people have a really good idea about the fastest receivers and backs breaking 4.4 seconds, and the huge linemen running low 5s. And if you ask these fans what they would run, a good chunk would say high 4s, and nearly all of the rest would say they can do under 6 seconds. But it's just not true. It's amazing just how good the best are, and then how our human brains think we can't be that much worst than the worst of the professional athletes, but we are SO MUCH WORSE lol
Yeah it looks like the default head start is to that first corner, but he lets slow guys go several strides past that. You might be able to play possum and fool him into giving you a few extra feet there.

@@tima.478 It kind of makes me jealous to see how efficiently they are able to use their muscles. The difference is made clear when people run against The Freeze. A lot of wasted energy in their movement.
Strategy: Is the head start based on time (# of seconds) or distance (when the fan gets to a certain point). If the head start is a certain distance, the runner shouldn't expend energy getting to that point. The runners that lose are tiring out at the end of the run. They could establish their lead without exerting any energy. Just jog to the point where the lead is established. Some runners sprint out of the start, and are tired before the Freeze ever starts.
Pretty sure the freeze starts after a certain amount of time… not when the competitor reaches a certain distance. Because that would be an obvious oversight of whoever made this little event.
