      This is the most expensive buffet in the Philippines. It cost Php 4,000 per pax (for dinner exclusive of tax) which is around 75 USD. Which is 10x the price of an average buffet or unlimited Korean BBQ. People generally avoid this place because... well... as Asians, the goal going in a buffet in not to eat for pleasure but to eat as much as possible to at least break even with the price you paid. 😅
      (PS Also, PH is a third world country so that price is already covers grocery for 2 weeks or half my monthly rent)

      @RGG III Local buffets have gone up to about $15 per person already (if not higher) and have very limited food choices nowadays. Even most seafood dishes have been taken off the menu and are only served on specific days.

      Omg that buffet was 100% worth the visit. So many different cuisines and food options. I went with my family to the Bellagio buffet in Vegas and I think that one was $60 or more per person and they had a smaller selection and the food wasn’t that great. I think the Spiral buffet looks better and has way more options

    Ooh, me and my family went here a few months ago. They had a bunch of mostly Asian options (which is way different than here in the US) and there was also people playing jazz on the stairwell. Also I bought one of the cute white bears they have on display :)

    I think it would be really worth it if you'd stick to the meat section, sushi/sashimi section and cheese bar. All of those individually/ala carte are worth more in PH peso, and since it's Spiral at Sofitel you're assured that it's really of quality. If you buy those cheeses in deli shops like Santis Delicassen here in the PH, 100g could cost you around P150 - 300.00 depending on the type of cheese (to reference, we were able to buy a whole Dutch Edam cheese for P600).

    In the Ph context, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it?? Maybe to try once for the experience would be nice but there are lots of buffet options that also offer the same variety of international cuisines (minus the cheese room) that are a third of the price! Vikings group has a few buffet chains that are good costing little less than $20 per person.
    But if my tito pays for the Spiral experience I wouldn’t say no 😆😆

    • @shybellavlogz9629
      @shybellavlogz9629 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jshu-_- spiral buffet they said is the best. Largest in Asia if not the world. Their selection is really big and the food are always fresh and hot - freshly cooked and not just heated. You can also customize your own pizza and they bake for you.
      But I haven't tried it since it is soooo expensive. Quality wise it is worth the price but if you're a Filipino in the Philippines and earning like any average employee like me then it is not worth being in debt for

    • @coco9818
      @coco9818 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shybellavlogz9629 went to spiral twice but i was quite disappointed with the taste and quality which i felt was just on par with niu (a cheaper average buffet but still on the premium side of things). the best buffet in the metro for me would have to be circles at shangri-la. spectrum's pretty good too!

    • @coco9818
      @coco9818 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jshu-_- spiral has a bigger selection and has way better food (in terms of quality and taste) than vikings. but if you're willing to splurge anyways, might as well go to circles or spectrum which i believe are way better than spiral ☺️.

    Definitely a premium! You're paying for Spiral accomodation, ambiance and the food selection! A lotta people visited during the holidays since pandemic restrictions got more lax and definitely a lot of Filipinos booked tables! Perfect place to have a buffet with balikbayans since Sofitel is near the airport :) Personally prefer Spiral over buffets at Solaire, Okada & Conrad. Casino malls tend to be too crowded. Plus Spiral in my opinion has better food selection and quality!

    I'm trying to compare it with the three buffets that I've been to, I think it's worth it if you're only 2 people and one has a birthday (usually a lot of buffets I know have a birthday discount. Like in Vikings and NIU, the birthday celebrant can eat *for free* as long as they bring in one paying adult with them). Idk if they have birthday discount, but I'd hope they do. That's my thought because you can already do a lot with ₱3,300.

    If you want something similar for cheaper, go for buffet 101
