If liars also works that's an average of 142,090 x2 as well. Pair that with winter's shroud and stylish executioner for easy setup and it'll be the strongest melee class in the game
Oh no titanlocks, our secret has been found out. I'll add that this is also a super good add clear build with the sheer amount of threadling spam that you do, better threadling generation than running an actual threadling grenade. I also like running this build with Karnstein Armlets for pure add clear with good survivability.
The biggest problem with guile is that 70% of warlock melees are pretty bad. Plus warlock lacks the kind of intrinsic melee range defense & damage bonuses that titans get thru aspects. Dawnblade (and arc a little bit) is the only subclass with potent melees as the rest mainly focus on some kind of utility and have next to no damage, usually just give a status to group of enemies or maybe kill an ad.
I like that you brought up synergies with friends' loadouts. Even having a Banner Titan do his Tractor Cannon wombo before you combo can help pump those numbers up.
I didn't mention it since I was mainly using the damage for comparison, and tractor applying globally means its less specific to the build itself. Ideally running this with a strand titan, you run nav and the titan runs tractor

Great video. I just wanted to add that tusk of the boar sub will be better with deconstruct now. With deconstruct I would go slice to help mitigate damage while in melee range to pull of the build. My warlock friends (and I, a hunter using forbearance with demo and chain (super good I def recommend getting it)) will enjoy this Also don’t forget you can grant woven mail with navigator
Verity’s Brow is so slept on with grapple! So on Warlock you can use Verity’s Brow to build up Death Throes, and switch to Winters Guile to stack that. It’s hard but not impossible!
I’ve been running something similar to this for legend onslaught farming, but substituting verity’s brow for necrotic grips (grapple melee is a melee so it also applies poison!) It’s definitely ad clear focused rather than boss burst dps, but there’s so much DoT from poison plus unravel that you can alternate between hitting several spawn locations and everything is usually dead by the time you get back to it Run mindspun invocation for the threadlings, and weavewalk to get away safely after slamming into a group of yellow bars, which makes the whole effort way more safe than I was expecting
Im glad you pointed out that a build shouldnt be limited to how you run it. I was running swarmers and a tangle generating build, and the strand titan was hulk just chucking and handing out woven mail, the entire strike we never ran out of woven mail and heals. Similarly, in onslaught , it never felt more of an rpg with the buffs being handed out, on top of another titan running precious scars. It was a flawless 50 wave sweep.
The main issue is you have to stop and get weapon kills every 9 seconds. With synthos you dont have to do anything. With wormgod you might have to kind an add to punch but usually they they just end up walking into the boss as you melee so it resets. But with that problem being said, it is nice warlocks have an option and this is definitely a team based option otherwise you're just gonna get stomped by the boss with no DR and healing like woven mail and banner.
ye exactly either you put everything into to doing some crazy stuff like this or you spend an extra couple of minutes doing things the normal way because the game is easy enough as it is
It’s not that hard to take a sec to shoot something with an LMG. You could even use Navigator to do that and also reapply Sever on the boss to reduce its damage

Once you add in that time lost what is more damage, heavy GL spam or strand warlock grapple melee? But with that being said. There are situations where you need an LMG for ad clear/mechanics and then this can be your boss damage. But if that's the case why not just play titan?

Warlocks also got Needlestorm to instantly pump 400k damage to make up for whatever we miss. Plus Verity’s is for team play. I could give our well guy prenerf Starfire nades or another Titan can spam Volatile/Weakening void nades to debuff the boss and spam heals w/ Controlled Demolition.

Great video. Cool to see warlock can also do this if not it being a little suboptimal. That being said I have exactly 1 gripe. Tusk of the boar with slideways is pretty bad. Slideways has a 3 second cooldown meaning, if you are spamming it, you can get a free reload every 2 shots and requires you to constantly look over to your mostly flooded buff section to find the cooldown. A good replacement (especially for this build) is grave robber. If you just want an all around setup go with enlightened action and focus reload speed in the other slots. Other than that well made.
Grave robber is definitely a good pick for this build, though when i suggest slideways, I do so more assuming you'd wanna use the weapon in more places than just melee focused builds. Desconstruct is also good, but from my experience, harder to reliably use, when it deals with similar cooldowns as slideways, and unlike slideways, can't be used if the weapon is already empty. This also doesn't plan on becoming the main ad clear option, as its job should mainly be to refresh your timer before the 10s count down each time. Finally, while i don't reccomend using it this way primarily, slideways cooldown is one of the very few perk cooldowns in this game you can reset by swapping weapons, so if you want to, you can fire, slide fire, double swap back to the same weapon, slide fire, double swap ect ect. While it may be clunky to use all the time, having it in your back pocket is great, and, even if it didn't work and doesn't reload, whenever you have downtime from shooting, swapping to the weapon to slide and restow it is also an option. Definitely not the only option for rolls, but was the one i found feel most comfortable with

Only prismatic hunter gets access to grapple grenade. Speaking of prismatic hunter, combination blow buffs all melee damage. Grapple is a melee. Prismatic classes get Synthoceps melee damage buff as an exotic class item perk. Prismatic hunter can do 4x a synthos strand titan’s grapple melee damage while under a banner of war
What makes this stronger in team settings is the Feel the Flames buff from Verity's. Inane grenade regen for all nearby teammates EVERY time you use a buffed grapple

cool build for someone thats a warlock main. as a titan main that sounds fun but i'm kinda tired of running it that I'm frankly savoring for prismatic for more pve variety
this just proves my point even more that titan is the most busted class in the game but no bungo always gotta nerf well and hunter‘s and if it is a titan nerf for once its nothing major
If you had another teammate using navigator you could use the crota shotgun for enhanced demo and one two punch and then something like parabellum which has permeability so your energy smg is strand as well.
I was looking into this, though ultimately, I don't think ends up as optimal, since 1) You'll often have to get a kill after 4-5 grapple hits to keep your timer up, which means swapping back and forth from your 1-2 shotty to a diff weapon to keep uptime, or hope they're close enough to use the shotty itself. 2) If you use kinetic slot for your 1-2, you'll also need a power weapon to best use the build, meaning you don't get the chance to run tractor for debuffs, which this damage rotation enjoys having. If you're in a team setting and both debuff and strand point are covered though, this shotty definitely slaps for this rotation, though if your looking to get the build together quicky, i'd first plan around an energy 1-2 option instead

Wormgods isn't gonna work, just as running 2 wormgods doesn't really work, there wont be enough ads to share to keep uptimes relevant enough. For synthos, while you can end up using all the ads, most of the time, in places you'd wanna use those builds, you have more than enough ads to work, even more so if you keep your verity stacks high before damage, then you only need 1 or 2 ads to keep your buff timer up. Including the boss, you'll only need 2 other ads around a minimum for synthos to be active. Most dungeon and raid bosses you already saw ppl doing strand titan dps has more than enough ads to keep both uptimes running, so long as you don't overkill them, or just end up with unlucky tracking on melees and threadlings. From experience using the build for a few weeks, burning out of ad fuel can happen, but isn't common once you get more used to it
The build is very good, but definitely not what I was looking for, I've been looking for a long time for a Strand Warlock build that would work in endgame content, even better if you could use the hook and NOT use the navigator
Running ammo finder mods is throwing with double special/ ability builds. It takes 80 kills with a special to proc. Also I dont see the point of running extra charge mods for "more" special finishers, you shouldn't be spamming that much special ammo if you are properly using your abilities. The background gameplay doesn't best showcase the build as you kinda just spam LMG and do a grapple melee occasionally.
Ignoring that winters guile is just better and does not have a significant difference in danger of use, if there is a banner titan on the team anyway, the survivability isnt a question and thus there is no reason to use verity over guile
It doesn't directly make you're teammates do more damage with them, but going from 1 grenade during damage to 6 or more is more "Damage" overall. Also while its somewhat redundant if your teammates are ALL using grapple, then utility of giving people it back if its missed is huge, since missing your grapple point on things like strand titan pretty much instantly end your damage. Its more like a failsafe for your titan friends spamming grapple, and 'gives more damage' by letting everyone else throw tons of more grenades
It’s from the ghosts of the deep dungeon and with its catalyst it makes a free grapple point, a great alternative is having a hunter using their grapples will put one of the field also and doesn’t require farming that dungeon
This is a cool build but unfortunately it’s just vastly inferior to strand titan in terms of survivability, ease of use, and damage. I’d really like to see a change to the aspect or threadings themselves so that they could inherit the damage multipliers being applied
I have a question with this. You need a 1-2 punch shotgun for this to work. Doesn't that effect go away quickly? I mean, if you shoot and then grapple and then melee, doesn't the effect of the shotgun disappear once you grapple?
Its so that if you need to swap to a triple surge boot mod for damage, you have plenty of time for a full damage rotation without running out of charge
Time dilation is mainly for armor swapping, as you can swap your boots to triple surge mods at any time for dps, so most builds i make currently slot time dilation even if the build doesn't actively burn them. That way when you do get to damage, you get 50% more uptime on your buffs, as well as being able to carry charges out of damage to then special ammo finisher to start getting your ammo back.
lol real. At least with perfect play and luck, it slightly outdamages synthos though, thats something. You need a titan next to you to do it, but its something
I have so many problems with this. you didn’t fixed the survivability problem. snd you make a bunch of claims that aren’t true. It’s not better for ad clear because you do nothing that strand titan doesn’t already do. The super is inherently worse for add clear because it is a one and done (plus if you’re running synthos you get a 50% super buff). Also the titan super is doing almost double the strand super’s damage but if roaming supers are detestable to you that’s fine. Also the base melee is useless in this build which is kind of a shame. small nick your mods are kinda bad you are wasting three mod slots on expensive Amor charge mods simply to feed special ammo finisher which is a waste of energy. also you have a useless time dilatation mod on for no reason??? run grenade kickstart btw it will help with your grenade uptime in the event it wasted instead of the mod that gives you bonus grenade on melee damage( forgive me I have forgotten the name). As someone intensely pationate about crayons it makes me sad to see them misused at this level.

Buried bloodline + sword breaker. Less boss damage but devour boost grenade regeneration further, sword breaker has demo 1-2. Pretty high nade uptime

For synthos, while you can end up using all the ads, most of the time, in places you'd wanna use those builds, you have more than enough ads to work, even more so if you keep your verity stacks high before damage, then you only need 1 or 2 ads to keep your buff timer up. Including the boss, you'll only need 2 other ads around a minimum for synthos to be active. Most dungeon and raid bosses you already saw ppl doing strand titan dps has more than enough ads to keep both uptimes running, so long as you don't overkill them, or just end up with unlucky tracking on melees and threadlings.
From experience using the build for a few weeks, burning out of ad fuel can happen, but isn't common once you get more used to it

The build is very good, but definitely not what I was looking for, I've been looking for a long time for a Strand Warlock build that would work in endgame content, even better if you could use the hook and NOT use the navigator

Running ammo finder mods is throwing with double special/ ability builds. It takes 80 kills with a special to proc. Also I dont see the point of running extra charge mods for "more" special finishers, you shouldn't be spamming that much special ammo if you are properly using your abilities. The background gameplay doesn't best showcase the build as you kinda just spam LMG and do a grapple melee occasionally.
Ignoring that winters guile is just better and does not have a significant difference in danger of use, if there is a banner titan on the team anyway, the survivability isnt a question and thus there is no reason to use verity over guile
!!!! Verity's brow does NOT give allies grenade damage, it gives them a different buff, 10x recharge rate, but with anchor points it is redundant
It doesn't directly make you're teammates do more damage with them, but going from 1 grenade during damage to 6 or more is more "Damage" overall. Also while its somewhat redundant if your teammates are ALL using grapple, then utility of giving people it back if its missed is huge, since missing your grapple point on things like strand titan pretty much instantly end your damage. Its more like a failsafe for your titan friends spamming grapple, and 'gives more damage' by letting everyone else throw tons of more grenades

It’s from the ghosts of the deep dungeon and with its catalyst it makes a free grapple point, a great alternative is having a hunter using their grapples will put one of the field also and doesn’t require farming that dungeon

This is a cool build but unfortunately it’s just vastly inferior to strand titan in terms of survivability, ease of use, and damage. I’d really like to see a change to the aspect or threadings themselves so that they could inherit the damage multipliers being applied
I have a question with this. You need a 1-2 punch shotgun for this to work. Doesn't that effect go away quickly? I mean, if you shoot and then grapple and then melee, doesn't the effect of the shotgun disappear once you grapple?
It lasts for long enough to get the buff on the melee hit about 1.5 seconds is the tiner

Its so that if you need to swap to a triple surge boot mod for damage, you have plenty of time for a full damage rotation without running out of charge

Why run time dilation if your not using any decaying armor mods
I think it's so you can pick up orbs for health when your super is full.
Time dilation is mainly for armor swapping, as you can swap your boots to triple surge mods at any time for dps, so most builds i make currently slot time dilation even if the build doesn't actively burn them. That way when you do get to damage, you get 50% more uptime on your buffs, as well as being able to carry charges out of damage to then special ammo finisher to start getting your ammo back.

I have so many problems with this. you didn’t fixed the survivability problem. snd you make a bunch of claims that aren’t true. It’s not better for ad clear because you do nothing that strand titan doesn’t already do. The super is inherently worse for add clear because it is a one and done (plus if you’re running synthos you get a 50% super buff). Also the titan super is doing almost double the strand super’s damage but if roaming supers are detestable to you that’s fine. Also the base melee is useless in this build which is kind of a shame. small nick your mods are kinda bad you are wasting three mod slots on expensive Amor charge mods simply to feed special ammo finisher which is a waste of energy. also you have a useless time dilatation mod on for no reason??? run grenade kickstart btw it will help with your grenade uptime in the event it wasted instead of the mod that gives you bonus grenade on melee damage( forgive me I have forgotten the name). As someone intensely pationate about crayons it makes me sad to see them misused at this level.
