+Halo Vanguards Instead of buying them in game, buy them on Xbox Live first and when you open up the game, they'll be in you "open packs"slot. i did that and it was awesome

I actually enjoy earning req points and getting enough to buy Gold packs. The RP boosts help speed up the process too.

Worse case scenario, you use real money and support new DLC and REQ cards and Halo Tournaments! Its a win/win/win scenario!
+ark13700 I find it's better to buy silver packs. You get twice as many and with the gold packs you don't get guaranteed legendaries (he got not a single legendary armour and I don't think he got an ultra rare armour from 100$) and I found I get a lot of common/uncommon armours with gold packs so I'm going to fill out most of the common-rare armours before I buy more gold packs.
+Nicholas Lee Using real money doesn't support new DLC lol, the money they make you pay for the DLC supports the DLC, all REQ packs do is partially support tournaments and make more profits and give some people an advantage in warzone :)

Thx god for those - I admit the SYS isn't completely bonkers - but it is somewhat of a new and fun thing to do. As long as you play and don't buy with real money ;)

Halo 1 pistol isn't in the game yet to my knowledge. I believe its coming next month along with the Gravity Hammer and the SPNKR Rocket Launcher

Its upsetting that you can't really work up to all the armor you want other than Helioskrill. Cosmetics shouldn't be included in the REQ System cause its limits player creativity.

+OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE Ikr, no reward at all other than the Xbox achievement for solo legendary campaign, nor any reward for skulls. Instead, I had to solo all MCC campaigns on legendary for a half decent looking armour that I got better looking armour from about 10 games of warzone. The Nightfall armour doesn't even look good in Halo 5, they ruined it's look a bit from the Nightfall series :(
my game is still being shipped through the mail, I'm highly confused with these. Are these available at all times from the time they're unlocked or can you only have a select few activated? And also, are these essentially making weapons/vehicles more powerful compared to those who don't have these upgrades?

TIP FOR LATER-if you purchase the req packs from xbox live store you wont haft to go threw buying them one buy one like that. It puts them all together.
I like the req pack systrm but what kept me interested in halo was trying to earn armour which you can't really do anymore. Also what happened to unlocking arms and leg armour?

To buy 1 gold req pack can be obtained by paying the $3 (£2.60) or playing 4 games of warzone or about 10 games of swat, so if you enjoy and play the game a lot you wont need to pay real money. All the DLC is free for halo 5 too. The only people paying for the packs are those who think its pay to win when in reality its not

Destiny's future DLC are now free. Buying Emotes and Silver now compensate for that.
If you buy them in the Xbox store it is in open packs but if you buy them in the game it opens automatically

With the really popular ones making it into the permanent playlist. and there are new maps on the way.

Just FYI, if you want to buy in bulk without having to open each one by one go through the xbox store, not in game. when you get back into the game they'll all be there

I dont like how you can choose an armor set instead of being able to put whatever shoulders and chest piece you want on with whatever else you want on. 343 is fucking up halo. They are turning into Call of Halo.
I can't get the 1st power weapon nor power vehicle but I keep seeing others get them and sell them.
It's very depressing.
I support the req system. It's a new addition to Halo and is actually very balanced. To those who favor paying hundreds of dollars (pounds, euros, yen, etc) for req packs, it doesn't make any difference. Those packs still need to be earned in game regardless hence the phrase, play to win.
If you're a complete noob at Halo then the hundreds of scorpion tanks you've just paid for will be completely worthless. Or if you're a veteran Halo player (or at least decent) then you should grow a pair and earn those req packs by just simply playing the game without paying a penny. I mean, that's the whole reason why you got it in the first place, right? To play it?
While I agree that micro transactions are pointless, if the money truly is going towards the Championship pool and free dlc maps (free to those who haven't paid that is) then be my guest. Spend your hard earned money (or in some cases, your parent's money) on something you could have easily earned in game. More free dlc for the rest of us. But in the end, this is just me speaking my mind.
Oh and if you see this, Ducain, this wasn't pointed towards you as I am aware that the money spent in this video was donated by someone else. Plus I'm sure you can put every thing you received from the req packs into good use haha.

+F2pPr0s Some are cosmetic, but the ones that aren't can only be used in Warzone. Arena Multiplayer (normal Slayer and things like that) will only use the cosmetic stuff that doesn't affect gameplay :)

Not sure why people complain about microtransactions. "What are you doing to my favorite game?! You're adding something that makes the game pay to win!!!!" Calm down with the nerd rage, people. I honestly don't see why having the option to buy something really makes the game any different. Doesn't bother me honestly since all you have to do is play the game to get the same benefits, just takes a little longer. What I care most about is playing Arena, which doesn't even require you to have REQ points. I can live with the micro-Ts and free DLCs as opposed to $10+ DLCs.

You don't need to pay more money to get better stuff. A patient gamer will save up REQ points from multiplayer to do the same thing. The points given after each match so far have been fairly generous.
I've done the calculations. Takes all of what less than 30mins to 1 hr to constantly open 37 Gold packs w/out even looking at them all or
Warzone Only 1,800-2,230 req pts
for lose or win
8-10 matches at 18-20 mins each depending results to around 2-3 Gold packs... 8-10 matches at 20 mins is about 2hrs and 40 mins ...
That was just 2-3 gold packs...
To get to 37 well Shit... Anyone got a calculator - lol - b/c if I had to guesstimate = over a period of months b4 getting to 37 packs... Sorry I'll get the right numbers tomorrow...
+332211ggGHGFF your math is off by quite a bit, not to mention the fact that your numbers on the amount you get per match are wrong and vary depending on how good you are (I get 2800+ per warzone match and each match rarely takes longer than 20mins) that's excluding selling cards and req point acquisition boosts AND commendation and rank up packs. Realistically you can't calculate this kind of thing.

suicidetony Well at least this time your reply was logical except the false accusations. I do keep up with it, and I am not a hater, I have loved and played every Halo game, Halo 4 being my favorite. However Anytime a game adds stuff that should've been included at launch, they get chewed out about it, and Halo 5 isn't immune to that. As for split screen it is more of a major disappointment then an issue with the game. The list of games that support being social at home is becoming less, and I was hoping that Halo wouldn't do the same as other games. As for the Micro transactions It would be understandable if it was for something Cosmetic that doesn't affect gameplay at all.However it does and that gives those willing to pump money into the game an unfair advantage. This is all my opinion, which I am entitled too. Your entitled to your opinion, but that does not mean you have the right to insult people who don't agree with you. Am I the only one getting the same shit over and over? All I've been getting are needlers, saws, hydras, mongeese, warthogs, fuel rod guns and the occasional ghost and beam rifle. NO sweet vehicles or weapons. Advice?
Spend rp on gold packs, not silver or bronze
Get a load of bronze packs at first, you will narrow down the chances of getting bad stuff in gold packs and will increase the chance of getting legendaries by a lot.

I've tried to be open minded about this goofy system, guys, but I can't help but feel like those who spend money, get better shit and more of it. I've been playing for hours and hours and I have accumulates 2 tanks and 1 banshee. Every game I play, there are at least 6 tanks being spawned. The only way for me to get fun vehicles and weapons without dedicating my life to Halo Engrams is to spend money. It's fucking gay.
