We review the food, drinks, the Excellence Club, go jet skiing, parasailing, we lounged in our Bali beds at the beach and pool and so much more! We loved it and it was exactly what we needed and can't wait to go back. Muy Excellente! Great video! My wife and I are debating between here and Secrets Akumal for June 2025. Well, I am because it's my job to research the different locations and resorts. I'm also afraid of heights but the parasailing looks like something I need to try. You only live once. I hope you and your family are all doing well and are able to travel and make more videos because you did an amazing job!
Thank you! We think you'll love it here but we've heard great things about Secrets Akumal too. It's been too long since our last video but we are back and visiting Tulum at the end of this month so stay tuned.

Great video(s) - part 1 AND 2! You both are interesting to watch and easy to listen to with your commentary which is very representative of the resort! My husband and I have been going to this resort, every year, since 2008 (yes, we are EPM addicts and go every year although we are fortunate enough to travel to other places as well, but this resort is, without a doubt, our favorite resort!). Your video captured EXACTLY what the place is like! We cannot wait to go back again! Thank you for sharing your experience!

Really enjoyed the video. Trying to decide between here or back to El Dorado Casitas. You really need to try it, or El Dorado Royale, especially if you like your food.

How was the nightlife? Were the pools fun to hangout at? The food looked good!
Nightlife was ok but the pools were really fun and the food was 8 out of 10.
These videos have been amazing thank you so much for the information! We’re planning on going from August 28 to September 2nd, but were scared to hear about the hot and humid weather, and hurricane season. Was it really bad for you or could I ask how it felt?
Thanks that means a lot and happy you enjoyed them! The weather is hot and humid and it is in the middle of hurricane season. Hopefully they stay away during that time. For us being that we live in FL we’re used to the heat and humidity so it felt very similar to home.
Did you book your own transportation or did was that what came with your stay. Also, hoe much would you recommend to take just gor tips? Going for our honeymoon in November 2023 and CANT WAIT!!!

We highly recommend EPM!! We booked directly through their site and yes there was transportation from airport to resort via Seasons Tours which is the in-house agency for the resort. Hope that helps!

In regards to the beach, coming from Vacations at places such as Turks n Caicos. How is the beaches there? Are they clean? Water quality etc with seaweed or other debris.

Awesome content! Did you have to pay extra for the parasailing and the jetski? And I keep seeing mixed info about the bali beds... do those cost extra, or is it included but first come first served?
Thank you! Yes we paid extra for parasailing and the jet ski. That was a separate company on the beach. The Bali beds were first come first serve and I believe only for EC
Hi. When you first arrived, were you given the champagne and able to check in at the private check in lounge because you are an Excellence member? We are going in April and wonder if we should look into it.
Yes we were given the champagne the moment the doors opened. They then took us up to the EC lounge where we signed in and then gave us their signature drinks. If non-EC then you check in at the main lobby/reception area.
Where did you get the off shoulder yellow and orange top?
Where did you get those coverups??? Love! Dominican stay with the excellence brand they are all amazing!
Thanks so much for watching! The cover-ups are from SHEIN. Certain outfits are hit or miss on that website but they knocked it out of the park with that specific cover up.

Hi guys. Do you recommend booking the spa treatments and renting the beach cabana ahead of time?
We recommend the spa treatments and not sure about renting ahead. We showed up early and got our pick of cabana and reserved it. Hope that helps and we hope you have an amazing time!

Great video of the resort! Unfortunately, the volume level difference between the music and the parts where you are talking are terrible! I'd turn it up to hear what you were saying, then I'd get my eardrums blown off when the music came back on! OUCH! I couldn't watch the whole video, because of that issue.

Nope we paid for those activities separately

Is the parasailing and jet skiing only for excellence club?
The parasailing and wave runners are an extra charge available to all guests. You can book through Aquaworld onsite or in advance. I recommend doing it when you arrive (instead of online or in advance) because due to the weather we had to change our reservation multiple times and it was inconvenient. Other than that the experience was awesome and we recommend spending the extra money at least on the wave runners! I hope that helps! You can also ask concierge for a list of activities and excursions available for purchase. They are extremely helpful!

We went there for appetizers but it was too dark so we couldn’t get footage

*nerd alert* I was wondering what kind of video/photo editing software you used....
We used GoPro Hero 9 for most of the footage and for editing started with Adobe Rush until we got to the end and the file was damaged so we started over in Final Cut Pro which is wayyy better!

Is there any night life there, say you want to go dancing ?
At the resort there are some theme nights with dancing but if you’re looking for night life you’re better off being on hotel row. PLAYA Mujeres is pretty isolated.
