"HOW ABOUT YOUR HEART?" ~ Bennie S. Triplett

You may remember BENNIE S. TRIPLETT by many titles: Church of God preacher, pastor, Gospel songwriter, singer, State Overseer, or radio announcer for Forward In Faith. But everyone who has ever met Bennie S. Triplett can truly add: "Christian Gentleman". Be blessed as he sings a 1954 song of his own composition, "HOW ABOUT YOUR HEART?"

I knew Bennie in the 1970's, He pastored the Lawrenceville Church Of God One Year. I cut hair in Doraville " The Southern Gentlemen Barber Style Shop" and Bennie come in barber shop I cut his hair some and my dad Harold also.. Very much a gentlemen and sincere in his heart. At the time his song "Jesus is precious" was spreading the south. He could preach good too. I'm disappointed that the precious song is no longer out there. By far his most popular and heart reaching. Today I dug out my 1979 Tape of Bennie's called Jesus is precious to me. If you've never heard it before there are a couple of video's out there for your pleasure. Bennie if you see my comment, Harold passed 30 year ago and we all still remember you in our heart

Totally blessed by the song and the singing. It is one of the best songs that The Blackwood Brothers recorded.
But some may not know that Bennie Tripplett was raised in the Church of God Home For Children.

Heard him sing this at the Southern Ohio Church of God Campmeeting in 1976 or 77. I think it was at the University of Dayton arena.

Oh, how lovely is this song!! I've loved "How About Your Heart" all of my life. We sang this in our choir at my hometown church from the time that I was a child. I knew that Dr Triplett wrote it....but I had never heard him sing it until now. Thank you Dr. Triplett!..Thank you, Sir, for this beautiful song!! .
