Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past 😚
I closed my eyes listening to this, and while a perfectly enjoyable piece, it could have been written by any number of composers--Piston or Martinu or Henk Badings for examples. Thanks for the upload.
I disagree wholeheartedly. The fingerprints of Holmboe are all over this piece the Nordic sounds emanate from every note. far more memorable material than Badings, nothing like Piston or Martinu. The first movement is a masterpiece.

Incredible. I will go buy this album
The end of the first movement is awesome!
Back here after 4 months. A case of "why state a motive once (or even twice) when you could repeat it ten times."
breathtaking performance. thanks very much. is the background image a Turner painting?
The painting is by Joseph Mallord William Turner (English, 1775 - 1851), a depiction of the burning of the houses of parliament.
Yes, the painting is "The Burning of the Houses of Lords and Commons" :)
