X & Y were supposed to be even better than they already were? Wow. Kinda sad that Legends Z-A is locked to Lumiose City, a fully-realized Kalos would have been the best Pokemon game ever made. (X & Y still are top tier games though.)
The concept art for the Kanto Mega Starter Pokémon is really cool to see. Who would’ve thought Mega Blastoise was originally going to have a mustache made of water. And with Charizard, it actually showed Mega Evolution going in a much different style direction, and I’m rather glad with what we got in the end with the Mega Pokémon still being the same Pokémon intact and not a complete overhaul like a fourth evolution in which the design of the Pokémon get changed up.
Biased take- calling Gen 5 complete ass is wild Loved them trying to be more mature and age with the playerbase. Sprites were at their best. I was bloody enamored with the dragon type at the time, which Gen 5 absolutely cooked with. Triple and rotation battles, the movie studio, and voice acting were all delightful additions to the franchise as well as the customizable indoor route- they also had the best online systems to date imo (sync, the walky talkie functionality, emoji reactions to trade offers in real time, etc) Wasn't big in the competitive scene yet tbf, which is one of the easiest docks against Gen 5
LMFAO Interviews prove you are completely wrong. Gen 5 was literally made to soft reboot the series for Children since the original audience was assumed to have grown out of Pokemon. That's why there were no original Pokemon in the story and it was the most babied story ever. Special child trope and anti-Pokemon PETA story. Shallow as as it gets
@@Verlisify I knew about the soft reboot (thought it was pretty cool too), although I will concede that team plasma was complete trash- but pretty much every evil team since galactic has been imo Plasma was the last one it feels like pokemom and game freak tried to take seriously with the narrative, how they hold themselves, and all that- flare onward feel more like backup dancers being tugged along by one or two goofy goobers at the top- do like what they did with team star admittedly though Mostly remember liking how it felt like plasma was a political movement at the top with N as an unwitting figurehead for domination by the old mfs above him, raised by them with the sole purpose of being used toward their ends- loved truth versus ideals as a concept but all this is being said based on memories that have been held for like 13 years, maybe a little longer? Haven't played black, white, black two, or white 2 since I beat the sequels when they came out (gens 1-4 I've replayed an unspeakable number of times, 6 once, never even finished 7 [beat the e4 and called it good enough], then beat 8 like 7 times and 9 twice- cant bring myself to delete my save on gen 5, [it's the only original save I have from childhood at this point] or buy a new copy) And the soundtrack is one of the best ever, forgot to mention that above (but pokemon ALWAYS cooks with the music)

And when this incident came to the attention of the Cerebii community, Game Freak apologized and since then the world map has not been included in any official Pokemon merchandise and material. But I don't know if this is the map you are talking about.
I've been thinking about the Typhlosion myth, and it would make sense as an origin to Typhlosion not from Hisui. Think about it. Fire/Ghost Typhlosion kidnaps girl yadda yadda yadda she has their child, the potentially first modern Typhlosion, one without the ghost type because it's mother was fully human and alive. Not trying to justify the sick levels of detail Game Freak could have gone to, just thought that maybe there's lore left behind in the final cuts of these Pokemon from these myths that explains something. Like one of the more outlandish facts the Dex will state being the result of some dark, dark backstory they decided was too much for their kids game.

They should add a slider in the options for shiny sparkles like Minecraft did for enchantment glint where zero is just the initial animation and sliding it up gives it the continuous animation that you can make as intrusive as you want.
Knowing all of this, I’m THAT much more disappointed with the legends Z-A game. Geeze!!! Some much missed opportunity!!! I need a good cry… this is the perfect reason to cry about…..

Beta Mega Venusaur looks so good. Blastoise and Charizards Megas have some kind of uniqueness while Mega Venasaur kinda just gets a little bigger
