This is the updated center axle for the wpl b36, B16 and other 6x6 that have similar drive trains. This update fixes the chatter having two pinions meshing with one ring gear. This also gives you two metal drive shafts and ball bearings throughout the axle so everything runs a lot smoother. This thing goes together pretty nicely, Fits pretty well. You do have to do a bit of adjusting to get the driveshafts not to bind. All in all it's a good kit to buy it is a good bang for your buck if you can find it for 18 plus some change each kit.

You have sold me on upgrading the center axle on my MN77 and my WPL B36. I believe that this is the single most important issue to address on a 6x6. I really wish the manufacturers would do this upgrade from the factory even if they had to increase price as I'm sure the increase would be less than the mod costs.

sweet videos, i own a similar version of the b16 i thought i had but when ordering the 2speed upgrade i realized i got a different truck. So for the low price i ordered the b16 kit and love the soft tires, still assembling as the transmitter 3channel is almost here then its hitting the trails!! Your videos really got me into grabbing these trucks and if you guys ever run the CK trail again i know my trucks are ready to roll full scale and small scale! Happy building and wheeling to you.
Thanks so much for this. I built the center axle copying the original plastic one with two pinion gears. works fine forward but in reverse it'll sometimes grab hard. Start over and do this properly.

One more thing i noticed, pre thread the screws into the plastic gear housing before you do anything.
So I just bought a B16 kit ten minutes ago (10 Oct, 2020) and then I find this vid. lol My question is will my B16 kit have this update included or will it have to be bought after the fact? Any idea? I really enjoy your vids and subbed today. Been spending all my money on the 1/6, 1/10 scale crawlers but have been watching way too many vids of yours and now I have an itch to buy one. The plan is to upgrade it to the max and see what I end up with.

Yes, The parts to build upgraded center axle were mixed in another bag, do you have parts assembly drawing for that kit. If so could you please post. I need to know the 4 screws in your kit used to fasten diff cover down.
Those two brass pinion gears are delicate and the grub screws can strip easily. Where would one source a replacement?
I just got n install this midde axle,but somehow the left wheel wont stay ommn ground and it made the rear wheel bind. Any solutions for this? Thanks
How about Axle Housing, is it metal or plastic?
