when Constantine (the white spot that the arrow went through) fell, the conquerors banned Europe from the Indian spice trade, which meant they had to find another route leading to the discovery of the new world.
So modern and ancient history is sometimes divided at the fall of Constantine.

9:15 The Reconquista was not an "extension" of the crusades------ They were totally separate despite being Christian missions
Reconquista was the Spanish GETTING THEIR LAND BACK from the muslims that stole it from them
So its not fair to call it "an extension of the crusades'........... The crusades was a mission to establish a safe haven for Christians in the middle east.... which was Christian before islam
