McF definitely could have done better no question but again not everyone can spend $44-$55 on a figure so with a $22 price point it’s a lot more affordable especially when McF figures go on sail A LOT on Amazon
In-case anyone's wondering, yes. This Batman is indeed licensed. Fondjoy started out essentially as an unofficial, unlicensed 3rd party company. You can still find the figures they made from when they didn't get the official license to DC yet, like their KO figures of his DCEU Superman (in his black suit), The Dark Knight Heath Ledger Joker, DCEU Wonder Woman, and even The Dark Knight Christian Bale Batman. Somehow, it seems like they've gotten the official license and now we have this figure without some weird 3rd party-esque name and the Warner Brothers stamp on the box. It's a similar case to ZD Toys, who first started out making unlicensed figures for the Marvel film Captain America: Civil War. Eventually, they'd get the official license from Disney to make figures for Avengers: Endgame. Currently, they're still producing MCU Iron Man figures in the 1/10 scale. Of course, the catch is that while both ZD Toys and Fondjoy are now officially licensed, they can't sell their figures in retailers like Walmart & Target (most likely due to contract reasons). Marvel Legends by Hasbro & DC Multiverse by McFarlane Toys are on the store shelves of these "big box retailers", hence why the licenses of ZD Toys for Marvel & Fondjoy for DC are only limited to China & online retailers who import them from China.
@@TheRevenantEdits they have a Pattinson Batman with JL and armored version of Batfleck upcoming, i hope Fondjoy redo their Bale Batman in the future with better sculpt and paint
@@bullyinc.4635 Indeed. Like, can you imagine all the stuff the Bale Batman came with, but with a licensed and accurate Christian Bale unmasked head sculpt? YES PLEASE
Man… just received this figure 1 hour ago. People are criticizing proportions etc, but the fact is - THIS IS AMAZING FIGURE. Perfect material, very nice head sculpt. Long time I wasn’t so satisfied with this figure to be honest.
Proportions are superior to many Affleck Batman figures of the past. Mattel one looked odd, Mafex ones too skinny for Affleck, Mezco one too buff, Beast Kingdom arms were too long, figuarts one was too short. Neca one, face was too elongated. Even the first Hot Toys one was considered skinny.
Got him a couple weeks ago, so much more superior compared to mcfarlane's iteration. The fondjoy batbale, wonderwoman, and Harley Quinn are all top notch too.
Can’t believe I don’t see anyone in the comments talking about the price for this guy. I bought the full set for under 60 dollars yesterday which seems like a steal, especially considering that Ben Affleck head. Not to mention the rising prices of import figures these days like mafex and sh figuarts.
@BradTheDCUniverseGeek next time you guys interview McFarlane could you ask him to bring back the DC Collectibles flight stands? They also had a spring function. They were much better quality than the McFarlane Toys flight stand.
I really like it, especially the stand. I’m not really happy with the cape because it’s just awkward. It’s huge and thin material with just two wires so you have a bunch of extra cape to figure out. Also on mine the ab section pops off of its ball joint way too easily.
I think the mouth is too far from the nose but it can be fixed by painting some stubble/five o'clock shadow. If I decide to buy this figure, I'll use Tamiya's weathering powder for the shadows and add a butt chin then spray matt clear acrylic.
My one issue with the figure is that his masked head looks gigantic, but since the unmasked here looks so good, I am just gonna use that one for display.
But his head was this big in the movie. Watch the warehouse fight scene where he stabbed the guy in the shoulder and walked up to him to get a closeup of how big his cowl head was compared to his shoulder and chest.
I am NO fan of Snyder’s movies but Affleck definitely deserved more than what he got. I grabbed this but I’ll probably order a custom cape.. I haven’t watched BvS since it first came out but.. seems like the cape isn’t super accurate? Was it rounded like that in the movie?
It retails for around 30$ in my country, while the MCF Batfleck retails at around 25$. Definitely sticking with the Fondjoy version, glad that it scales really well with the rest of MCF figs as well.
Just bought this on ebay. It definitely looks better than McFarlane the headsculpt and everything else. McFarlane version is also lacking paint apps on boots and gauntlets. Some of McFarlane figures are cool but his movie figures usually suck in my opinion.
I hate to break this to you, but basically EVERYTHING is imported from China in one form or another, including the toys that we love. Almost impossible to get away from.
Out of all the BVS Batfleck figures released, that includes Mattel, Mafex, Mezco, Hot Toys, Neca, Beast Kingdom, FundJoy. The McFarlane is the only one that has basic paint details on belt, boots, gloves missing. And in my view it has the worst likeness, paint accuracy, cape accuracy and proportions of all Batflecks released ever. They literally didn't paint the back at all. They can easily give a much superior and accurate Batfleck in the price they are charging, everyone else has included these details in their figures, why can't they. Customization, alternative heads and capes is cool and all but it only adds to the cost of the figure, plus the extra effort. About time customers speak up instead of praising/defending them so they are forced to release a better stock product in future. Just my two cents.
A small and obscure company totally puts McF to shame. Todd should take notes. His version of Batfleck is a complete mess!
McFarlane Cult will say "what u expect from a $20 figure?"

@@Elitaprime48 It's a horrible figure, in terms of suit accuracy and actor likeness. McF proved they can do better but decided to piss on all fans.
Here in the Philippines the fondjoy batman deluxe only cost $36 or 2000php. The mcfarlane is getting low on its quality and sculpt. 😂

Love this figure ! My definitive Batfleck Batman ! Great review !
Just got mine today in convention. So worth the money, all the features of a premium fig for a fraction the price. ZD Toys level quality right here
Thank you for review this figure, Brad. Love your channel.
Ben Afleck is visually the best movie Batman costume IMO.

Loving the BVS Batman by McFarlane. This also is a fun addition for fans. Glad I was able to get him at Target 🎯
Fondjoy has a lot of potential! I can't wait to see a comic version of My favorite characters...
Who says they’re making comic characters?

It suppose to be big and no neck just like the bvs suit. If you're looking for the shrunken cowl it's th justice league suit.
is there an animated or comic book version batman!!!

Does the bruce wayne alt head fits or scale on mezco jl batman?
Kinda wish it was 6 inch scale
Where did you buy??
Weird how he has an unmasked head but not an empty Cowl to hold. That aside he looks incredible
Will definitely have to get that figure.
Take notes McFarlane this is how to make a figure quantity, paint, actual articulation on the figure and the cape.
It would be great if you could switch to the MUFF TOYS custom head in other video 🔥🔥🔥
I saw a picture of that head on this body. Looked too small for it.
I got this figure. Its better than the standard McFarlane Toys version. I say standard, because I customised my McFarlane Batman
Excellent work by Fon joy. McFarlane could be doing this same thing smh.
Fondjoy is about to start pooping out movie Batmans real soon
Great video!

That cape is horrible and the size of the head is way to big in comparison with the body. C'mon!
