If anyone is wondering Why the Sonar Suit is painted differently in this wave, it's because the paint scheme is an homage to the Kenner Batman Forever Guardians of Gotham City Two-Pack figure Set. Just like the 1989 Keaton Batman figure (from The Gold Label '89 Batmobile Set) was an homage to the Kenner The Dark Knight Collection Batman Figure.
I had that 2 Pack back in 95, but I saw this figure in person in Gamestop and instead of a nostalgia tug it was more of a "no thank you"- they should've just kept the colors from the 6 pack and given him the sonar eyes to give it a variation. Wasn't impressed with Riddler in person, but then again I was a bigger fan of the white suit-maybe they'll do that version with a better face sculpt😅
@@lionhurly That is not an excuse for the crapy colors of the figure. If they made it just one of the colors it would have been way, way better. Still not movie accurate but better that this clown suit we end up now because of the two clashing each other colors. Thanks to this and the fail called Batman BvS figure they made especially compared with Fondjoy's amazing Batfleck I am done with McFarlane.
Can´t believe that these figures managed to get sold because the Batman and Robin wave must have sold really well. There´s not a single review I´ve seen that disliked them. Who would have thought that the worst Batman movie would have had enough fans out there to buy them.
I don't collect McFarlane figures but if I find that bat loose, I will absolutely grab it. It looks fantastic! I'd pose it next to my DC Direct "caveman" Batman. On a different note, I'm aware of the whole "no guns" policy but why do all McFarlane collectors complain about it if 1. you already know you're not going to get guns with your figures and 2. you have a bunch of guns lying around from other figures or from those weapons packs! It's not like you don't have options... 😅
When the wave was announced I thought the bat would have articulated legs and had the possibility to get some soft goods shorts and you got yourself a realistic looking man-bat On the gun bit some people don’t have a wide collection of accessories that fit in that scale, plus sometimes said accessories are supposed to be specially designed for the character (like I think two face had modified guns for the look) also it’s like giving a half a puzzle game with missing pieces (maybe instead of gun holding hands they could have given more coin related hands like how he did in the movie)
Agreed about Panther suit, and we technically have it already because supposedly Clooney’s initial costume is panther suit sculpt for the most part and Clooney’s second costume with silver is mostly Kilmer’s Sonar costume. So they could easily given us new costumes for both Clooney and Kilmer.
Face printing at this scale has to be so precise that the tiniest misalignment is quite noticeable. My Riddler has perfect teeth, but Robin is slightly looking to the left. It looks like the Batman figure is a homage to the original Kenner toy. Mr Freeze was also done that way so I guess there is precedent. I'd also prefer it to be all blue like the first release, but the sculpt is so nice that I'm fine with it.
I have to be honest, Riddler is the one I'm least excited about. I actually like the (admittedly inaccurate) Batman figure, but I love the Robin figure more. Two-Face, however, is an absolute work of art which is something I never thought I'd ever say about an action figure!
I stopped collecting MacFarlane and started Collecting Mafex. I know about the price difference but Mafex is like taking the figure straight out of the comic Book. I Miss DC DIRECT. Great review 👍
What does Mafex have to do with anything. No 66 Batman, no 90s movie figures, no animated versions, very limited comic figures - like 2 per year from hush and not much else. And they usually make 1 for every flop movie that dc releases, like Shazam and black Adam. That’s very low output and if you don’t like the movies they’re releasing….thats a very exciting hobby waiting for those twice a year releases.
That Robin is fine as a figure but his suit isnt that color. Those are comic colors not the colors from the movie. The suit is a darker red with alot of brown in it and a dark green. Not sure how you screw up the color that bad. Human legs don’t have thigh cuts in them so these figures nor any figs need them. The motion from the hips is all you need.
If the diaper is that big like it is on all of McFarlane figures, the forward leg movement is next to non-existent, so there’s no point in having articulation there. If he’d thin those diapers out so we didn’t have to cut them on our own, they could do proper crouch poses etc. I just don’t get how they still don’t have the basics down.
I’m a bit partial to these figures because this is my favorite Batman film but aside from Batman….I LOVE THESE FIGURES. The ONLY complaint I have is that the Build a Figure should have been Chase Meridian! A real shame that we’ve never gotten any Chase Meridian figures in 29 years. Thanks for the video.
I would have bought this entire wave if they didn't mess up the colours on Batman. The 6 pack version was perfect, I just wanted it on its own. No point buying the wave if the Batman isnt up to snuff.
Nice wave, although personally I think a generic Two-Face goon would have been a better choice for the BAF rather than the giant bat which only appears in a deleted scene
The Giant Bat is seen flying toward young Bruce in the film…but it is only in shadow. You don’t see the full face of the bat but it is in the movie…but what we really should’ve gotten for the build was Chase Meridian!
I'm kinda miffed I was able to get everyone bar the Robin in this wave for some reason my retailer couldn't get Robin from their distributor as he was short packed or something. I do like this wave and not to mad about the Sonar batsuit as I missed out on the multi box set. which is a bummer as if you really want bale bats to sit in the tumbler you need that version. I was thinking though I may be in the minority here but I would lover to see Mcfarlane do a few homages to the kenner line stuff with the wacky colours and gear they had , some those Arctic batsuits looked cool
This is still on pre-order in the UK, but I have mine reserved and I'm looking forward to receiving it. I see what you mean about Bats himself, but I didn't get the previous release so I'll cope! Robin and Two Face look really good. Riddler is okay (I might mod the paintwork). My main point of contention is the BAF nightmare bat. Why? Why didn't we get a Chase Meridian? Still, over all, it all looks pretty good to me.
More and more I don't think the Batman six pack had to exist the way it did. I think wide releasing the Sonar suit was good. But then release the same one and move the BAF parts to the other three. It's a solid wave otherwise. With Batman they should have just went all matte black if they had to make it different.

I really want the Robin, that movie is a huge guilty pleasure of mine and i've always loved that Robin suit.

Whenever I find a multiverse fig on the shelf I'm looking for ..I give a big DC Muliteveeeerse! ..like the opening lol .

This is a perfect job for Mcfartlane 😂❤🦇

Huh, my Batman came with a trading card

Cool review brad I only get the McFarlane toys dc multiverse based on films animated series and video games including Batman 66 series

Honestly the thigh cut helps with certain poses like having a figure doing chris cross applesauce or even a dynamic balance
@@FFFFPPPP it was the lighting of the movie that made it look darker

Will we get figures from the other movies? I'd love to see a DC Multiverse Nicholson Joker.

It should have been the panther suit man.

Amazing Toy Figures Reviewing, Brad! 🌟
If you heat up these figures legs up you can get more movement in the thighs.
Love Robin's cape.
Wow all the reviews I watched is the first time some one point Batman did not come with a trading card😅😅😅
Great review- subscribed!
That bat looks awesome, looking real as what?
Awesome review and thank you
Thanks for the vid.👍
My batman had the card.
i just don't like cloth capes, if that's standard now I'm done with the figures because it doesn't match with the stuff i have at all
Yo, brad, your 1000th video is coming up!! Have anything planned😢
The no card bugs me
What happened to your humor bro, are you on bad days? I was waiting for the review of this wave and it sounds a bit depressing...
I have to give you a dislike, sorry. Not calling Mister Tomy LeeJones by his name just sucks. Dissappointing video for a great wave!
Huh? 😂 what a weird thing to nitpick. You go outside!
For 2 face and for the ridder i have customize heads so.
