That is really cool! This band/song and Chicago culture in general really do it for me. Any chance you guys filmed the wedding performance? That’d be some one-of-a-kind content you could commit to the ages by uploading before it’s lost.
@@NDW85 You're absolutely right. I never before heard such brilliance from the brainless until right now... Every time I watch the three stooges I immediately think of Freebird, Black Water and What a Fool Believes and Ramblin' Man. You hit the nail right on the head! I wonder if the Beatles were influenced by the Marx Brothers? I bet they were. And clearly the Carpenters were influenced by Abbot & Costello.... You are a genuine musical genius.
I'm 34 this year. When I was a kid my father raised my sister and I watching the 3 stooges. We had lot of VHS tapes. Being born in the late 80's you'd be surprised I'm a fan but my dad done good. I know the whole history from ted heely, shemp in the original act to when he took over due to curlys poor health. I've seen the cartoons with curly joe. I'm a big fan and now own a big dvd box set of my favorite knuckle heads. I rock out to this song from time to time Nuke Nuke Nuke.
Got to meet the band at Confetti’s in Dallas in ‘84 when couple buddies and I did a lip sync of this and the band saw it and invited us to perform live with them. What a great bunch..😎
Peter Quinn dated my mother and was the closet thing I had to a father growing up in Northbrook, Illinois. He taught me how to ride a bike and taught me to love folk music. If you're reading this Peter, I'm a year 1/2 away from law school, I miss you man.
NOBODY ELSE COULD DO THE CURLY SHUFFLE BUT CURLY.AND THAT IS THE ONE AND ONLY CURLY HOWARD .NOBODY ELSE COULD ACT LIKE HIM AND DO THE. THINGS THAT HE DID.
When I was 7 my dad used to take me to a bar. All I did was play this on the jukebox... now I realize I must have been driving the patreons crazy...lol
Hard to believe that it has been 8 years since the late Dick Clark (a.k.a. America's oldest teenager) left us to go up to that big entertainment land in the sky.
One of the most important songs ever written in the history of mankind
Do I love this jam????? Most soitenly!!!!! Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!

Jump N' the Saddle played at my wedding in 1994 in Chicago...They were such a blast...Love em' all!!
In my opinion, I think this band was influenced by groups like the Doobie Brothers, Lynryd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers.

Curly would look out on the crowd and probably say, "Hey Moe! Look at all the goiles! Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!"
The #curlyshuffle leads us back to a story almost as good as the #hustle #dance.

Peter Quinn is awesome... they have many more great songs - Sarah Sings
Annnnd...SWING IT!
Song doesn't mention Curly Joe.
At the time this song came out alot of Stooges fan considered him the worst and so I'm sure thats why he wasn't mentioned.
It DID but it left out Joe Besser, who was not a Curly clone like Curly Joe.
@@CLM1987 You’re thinking about Joe Besser.
Curly Joe is the “Fat Clone Joe” in the song.
He would approve. )
I'm trying to think but nothing's happening!!
What else do they got?
Was that Dick Clark introducing the band?
Yes that IS. Dick Clark.🤩🤩🤩

I have my original copy signed by my buddy Peter Quinn.
Hey, where's Annie?
Annie who?
it's moe's brother, shempf.
the only way that this could have been better is if the band had encouraged the audience to join in
nyuk nyuk nyuk, Micheal Jackson stole this
the mighty quinn
nowadays that last bit would be considered religiously offensive. lol
It would be relatively easy for me. Chuck
