For some reason I always thought Toni's end was when he left Susan and Bob to die. While I can see why Marland wanted a final end for the character, I wish they'd just had Sabrina bring him to justice, instead of that cheesy Raging Bull type brutality and the cheesier moment of Duncan collapsing on the floor. That scene w/Frannie and Barbara was so tough to watch. Did they make up before Frannie left? This must have been a story Marland was going to expand on.
Wow there was a lot going on in a short period of time. Tonio's accent seemed to have changed. Is this after he fell from the helicopter? Barbara looks more than a few weeks pregnant.
@CarlD2 By now there was a pattern of Duncan coming to Sabrina's rescue, yet no surprise romance developed. I agree, cheesy. We know that Hal turned up later, so I can't believe that Barbara didn't make amends at some point. She was still frosty with Frannie at Andy's wedding to Courtney a few weeks later, though. They would have been great as competition for the same man, repeating Kim & Jennifer's history. Then again, Frannie & Sabrina did that with Seth. Great acting by Stuart & Zenk here.
@sneezyize There seemed to be a villain overload with Julia, James & Dante. I'm not sure how Tonio could have been any different. The Hughes sisters would have been a nice addition though. The only problem is that they'd have to be older than the Carly/Lily set and big stories didn't really go to lady vets other than Barbara at that point.

I LOVE Liz Hubbard's Lucinda..such playful flair and sexiness, not allowed for older actresses today..
@PavedParadise Tonio's fall was the previous year.
I really liked Frannie. Was her character really off the canvas until Julianne Moore's cameo on ATWT's last day?
Yes. It's quite silly when you think about it!
