The music was one of the aspects universally praised by gamers and reviewers. Kai Rosenkranz finally got the budget and resources he deserved to create a truly epic soundtrack for a game that, while flawed, still had a lot of things going for it. The only thing the soundtrack doesn't do as well as G1 and G2 was blending into the background as well. It felt more pronounced and sometimes overstayed its welcome, especially when the combat music started and horns would start blaring because a lowly scavanger decided to attack the hero in fully decked out armor.
i think i finished this game more than 10-12 times. gothic 3 will always have a special place in my heart, forever, i love the witcher 3 and consider the polish game the perfect game, but still gothic 3 with the latest community patch is the best rpg of all-time for me, only la noire came close to the feeling i had when playing gothic 3, but la noire is different and not a fantasy rpg, so gothic 3 remains the KING.
I remember when I used to skip school when I was younger just to play gothic 3 for fucking hours man. The Gothic community used to be so big and than years passed and no one really posts about it anymore. This game completely fell off, but it was so good. WAY passed it's time.
I actually finished this game in the last vacations before my final year at high school. It is just such a huge world you can spend days and weeks in, an for the most part it is always fun - especially in the midgame :)
@@the_l0st317 Dude yeah. For me the Varant quests were annoying a'f but the game was so fun to me i couldn't resist lmao. This was back in middle school for me, Gothic 4 was really bad
The_ L0ST yeah the mechanics and the generic feel for the gothic series just isn’t there. For me at least. Gothic 2 is the best in the series imo but gothic 3 holds a special place to me!
agreed. maybe someone in the future will make this game famous one day... hopefully... people need to see what an actual rpg game is meant to be. i never got such emotions from an rpg game, even the latest projects like cyberpunk didn't give me such feelings
Wenn ich dieses musikalische Meisterwerk höre kommen mir die Tränen weil ich sehr viele wunderschöne Stunden damit verbinde, auch wenn ich Minuten lang in einem Dorf stehe und dem Treiben zuschaue. Wenn Musik es schafft, einen wieder in den Bann zu ziehen ein Spiel wieder zu zocken was damals so viele Bugs hatte, dann ist es meiner Meinung nach ein Meisterwerk.

Thank you for the nice mix! The music is not only just great, but it reminds me of better and simpler times. Life is not what it used to be at the moment, so when listening to this and watching all these scenes from the game makes me really emotional. Hoping to soon feel that feeling I have had before.

Gothic was and is and always best #1 game ever I play. All my new games are based on Gothic. I play dysmantle, Aralon, Ravensowrd, Skyrim, Oblivion, Exiled Kingdom because of Gothic. Gothic is the God of all games.

Its often just a messy grind. But the music makes me happ everytime i listen to it...
