Ahhh there’s a lot of subtle meanings in this song you guys missed out 😭 the one who smiled is the king’s first wife and she loves him more than he loves her. The room deepika dances in is the room the Queen dedicated for the King and the mirrors were meant to be filled with his image. Her love. But Deepika is the mistress and the room became filled with her image during the dance...the Queen smiled because she was jealous and had come to a realisation that he was completely in love with Deepika and that his heart was full of her. Wherever he was meant to be she will also be there. The Queen mother forced Deepika (a princess of another country) to dance in front of the King...usually only prostitutes do that, so yeah she risked her all to dance for her love in front of the King’s court. So yeah even though the King falls in love with her every time he sees her he’s also sad that his love has to suffer because of him.
Honestly, I want a Korean person to watch the movie that this song was in, it's honestly such a fantastic movie, one of my fave historic Indian ones and it has such a great storyline compared to other movies that's just the cliche stuff, it's such a beautiful yet painful love story between Ranveer's character and Deepika's character. Edit: Oh and you were right about her putting down her pride, she's a princess from another empire who fell in love with him(he's already happily married), but she followed him to his empire because he fell in love with her too but was mistreated by the people there. Here, people were making fun of her cause she was acting like one of the dancer women(kinda like how we see strippers nowadays) instead of a dignified princess, and she put down her pride to finally be able to see him again. But because of her performance, everyone was left breathless and the King's wife is the one who looks tearful. The old woman in white is the King's mother I think and she's sooooooo annoying(I found her so).
