I make cards also, but I have misplaced my Spellbinders cutting machine!!!!!!! Can you imagine. I have my embossing machine, but that won't do me much good without the other.

Hi! I absolutely LOVE your ornaments!!! The colored glue you have linked; does it dry sorta clear like the glue you used on the tree and star? I’ve been looking for a colored glue that dried like a food gel. Thanks!

Thank you! 💕 The colored glue sticks do dry the same as the clear glue sticks.

Hi again. I purchased the glue sticks you had linked and when I used the green; it wasn’t like yours: transparent gel like consistency. It was like regular glue that you can’t really see through. Do you know the name of the glue sticks you used? I am trying to find one that looks exactly like the ones you’re using because it reminds me of my mom’s cookies she made that had gel icing. Your video is the only place I’ve seen such glue sticks and your cookies are my absolute favorite tutorial, and wanted to make them for my mom as a gift. If you remember which glue sticks; please let me know. I’ll be forever grateful! Again, your cookies are super adorable!!

@frecklebug76 oh I am so sorry they weren't as opaque as the glue sticks I have. I have had mine for years so I can't remember the brand.
I have read that you can melt a bit of a crayon into hot glue and get colored glue that way. If I was to try that, I think I'd heat up a cheap little pan or a heat safe dish and heat it up a bit before squeezing some hot glue onto it and then swirling a crayon into the hot glue to tint it. From there, I'd use a toothpick or popsicle stick to finish mixing it and then scoop it onto the ornament.
If you give that a try, let me know how it goes!
And if I ever remember the brand of glue sticks I use or if I happen to find some similar, I'll let you know (and try to remember to change the link.)
Again, I'm sorry that the sticks I listed aren't quite right.

Oh goodness! It’s okay. Thank you for the tidbit about the crayons! I might try that. You honestly had the best tutorial for what I’ve been looking for for a while now. Thanks for responding back! I hope you make more cookies! You’re awesome at it! 😊

How well does the hot glue stay on?

I put mine in the airing cupboard and they dry in two days .

I paint mine after they dry so it goes faster. Takes 2 days also.

You can go to Simon Says Stamp.com and search for Nuvo Drops.
