This makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Seeing that connection between you and Katie and that family environment you have managed to keep is just heartwarming but makes me so sad that never happened for me when my dad passed. I have sisters - but the relationship with one was always a bit strained but no one bothers with me or my girls now and I’ve stopped trying now. I truly think connection is the key to getting through grief - I cried at you all eating chicken pie!

You’ve actually given me the confidence to not wear makeup when I don’t feel like it. Currently 6 months pregnant and it’s been a really tough pregnancy so far so it’s nice not to have to worry about makeup etc too.

My mum makes the best chicken pie and I’ve been trying for years to make it as good as she does! Chicken, bacon and sweetcorn pie.. cook the chopped bacon and chicken in the bottom of a saucepan and let it burn to the bottom a little bit, then remove and put into your pie dish. Now make your white sauce in the same pan.. when you melt the butter to make your roux make sure to scrape off the bits from the bottom to get the lovely Smokey flavour through the sauce. Add the sauce to the casserole dish with the chicken and bacon and add in a tin of sweet, put the pastry on top and in the oven. Sooo yummy and creamy!

Elle I just have to say hun that you are so beautiful without makeup. Putting makeup on and getting all dressed up definitely makes you feel better but you truly don’t need it to look beautiful because all natural for you is stunning ❤️❤️. A lot of beauty comes from the inside as well hun. The beauty in your two lovely boys is a true sign of your beauty inside and out ♥️♥️

There's loads of time in the future to get dolled up so be you for now. I nailed a chicken pie the other day!!! Creamy chicken and mushrooms with shortcrust pastry, mash, peas, mustard, gravy etc!
•Shortcrust pastry for the base, sides and lid
•diced chicken
•oil
• 1 white onion
•mushrooms
•chicken stock cube
•creamy mushroom sauce jar
•splash of double cream
•thyme, oregano & mixed herbs
•salt and pepper
•1 clove garlic per person

My nan makes the best chicken and stuffing pie with peas and carrots and when you cut into it its eaqual all the way around best pie with roast potaoes also my other nan does a chicken curry pie too
