I Respected my Dad ,he Molested me when I was 16-18, He died a few months ago I don't miss him😒😒😒😒
What do I do now? My mother and father were abusers. Horrible abusers, but I still follow the word of Christ. There is a gap left in my life from my abusive father, and my abusive mother still lives. Horrible people. Criminal activity going on all of my life. I estranged from them for years because of the pain I suffered from them. My sisters were corrupted from them continue a life of lies, cheating, stealing and debauchery. I follow the work of Jesus Christ, and HAVE FAITH. You tell me to honor my mother and father and I do. My therapist tells me to never ever make contact with them. Can you please guide me Bishop?

May God wrap you in love and tenderness. My story is similar. Prayer takes away the pain.
I was with my mother when she died. (Aged 94) I treated her with respect as an elderly woman needing comfort in her last years. In the last six months (approximately) I had more contact with her than in all my years (At 5 months - orphanage, ward of state etc etc. ) My eldest sister I no longer have contact as this is to protect myself. I pray she will change, I was angry with her (due to her actions towards me) but now I don’t hate her. She is a product of her environment. Maybe one day I will have contact again, however, caution, safety and protectiveness will be foremost in all interactions.
Respect can also mean not being aggressive, using your manners. It doesn’t always mean you have to love them, do or say horrible things they want you to do regardless of how it hurts another or you.
Be kind and considerate in your interactions as this is respectful towards yourself.

I had to block my family for similar reasons. Seek your own people. Don’t settle for less. Go online, try to find people with similar interests. Find people who strengthen your relationship with God.
Grief is a real beast.

I let them down so much and it haunts me day and night. Been dealing with it since 2014. This is as bad today as it was then.

I lost my mama and papa in 2014 just months apart they were married for 66 years still loving each other like they were young. Never apart from each other . They were everything to me, drew even closer to them when I took care of them for 4 years. When they past I died, I still am broken. I will never be the same again. They should have taken me with them I wish they had.

With what is coming, I’m glad that my dad won’t see the conditions that I expect to see.
My mom won’t see anything either.
I’m quite sure that I was an inconvenience at best for her, but did my best until the end in 2021.
My daughter has nothing but contempt for me.
I know now that I didn’t give her enough space to fail safely when she was young.
It didn’t help, a sibling reinforcing how “wicked” I was in being overly protective.

Dear Bishop Emmanuel, It looks like you were very lucky in having parents who loved you. This is a good thing. With respect, I have to say that sharing things like this can be seen as tactless. Many people have abusive parents. Going up to them and saying “I had this great thing and that great thing” is like telling someone who is starving “I just went to a banquet.” I have to disagree that family is sharing and caring. That is far from always being the case. You also say sharing and caring is where God is, and I agree, but that can be found outside the family. I think there is a passage in the Bible that says that Jesus-Christ came to bring division to families, which is understandable, because there is wheat and chaff in all families. I recently saw a video of a girl who was almost murdered by her father because she had converted to Christianity (he was Muslim). There is and always will be conflict in families.
Well, i agree partially. Yes we owe respect to our parents regardless and even if many things weren't the way we wished, we need to be aware that we can't expect form them, what they didn't experienced either. What really counts is their intention to raise us to the best of their ability and we should be greatful for the effort they made to do it. On the other hand, our existence came to be because of them. Now we can say hallelujah! or we can say, who asked me, if i want to be born, in that family in that place? Was it my decision? Now we can say, it was Gods decision. So, then, why am i held accountable for my life? Or we can believe in reincarnation and with it believe that we took the decision before were born, but that would not be biblical.

Bishop, a little advice, I know you know the Word of God, don't make anything as below or above and idolize them as if more important or the same with God in heaven, I know it's just a symbol, but I think we should not hold that cross and point or show it as "Jesus Christ".

I thought Jesus said not to love anybody in your family more than Him.? God also said for parents not to cause wrath. I'm sorry Bishop but I can't be my bitter moms punching bag anymore. When your mom dislikes you because you are your like your father. I have forgivin my parents. But they did not walk with the Lord. They judge and condemn. 😢 I will not carry that weight and that guilt anymore. Abusing your children because they are smaller and weaker and because you are the mother is not Jesus. You are blessed you had a loving mom. ❤. You should rejoice she is with Jesus. But we are selfish I guess.
