The Best Memory involving the Movies that you Showcased, first was with Iron Man 3 as Iron Man 3 was the First and Only Movie that I watched on my 'Oasis Of The Seas' Cruse Vacation 9 years ago in 2022. On The ship Anyways, then there is Star Trek Into Darkness they showed that on the Plan After Taxing from another Plan to the one in Dallas Texas back to the City that I live in. But Lucky with Both we left roughly around the point where Tony Stark was Captured and is Unsuccessfully Threatening the Two Henchmen for iron Man 3. As Everyone except me was tired and starting to fall asleep as it has been a long day already and we all had to wake up early to Bord the Ship Earlier that day in addition to all of the stuff and activities that we had and choose to do after Bording Oasis for the first time, and so we all just decided to call it a Night or Day or whatever, and just headed Back Up to our State Rooms to Prepare for the Next Day of the Cruse. And as for Star Trek Into Darkness since I was so Tried and Drained from my Vacation which includes all of us Passengers on that Plan had to wait as they couldn't Take Off because of the Thunder Storm and when they could take off I fell a sleep right away after the Safety Demo. And by the time that I opened my Eyes again they where showing Star Trek Into Darkness, and I had already missed Twenty Minutes of it, but sadly I was able to stay awake for the rest of it, with out Audio of course. And lastly I guess they sort of is a memory involving one of the movies that you showcased was that. while on the Ship one of the Places we Frequented for Food mostly for Breakfast and later on in the Day Launch the 'Windjammer' played a series of songs on Repeating Loops everyday, and one of them was 'Kiss By A Rose' by 'Seal' which is of course from the non movie Batman Forever Soundtrack (At Least that was on of the Movies that you Showed off? After all it's not only been a long video but also this comment was written at late a night.) So I guess that sort of counts. And so just like you with La La Land the only Reason I still have Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness was to serve as a Reminder of that Trip, and Despite Iron Man 3 being a Christmas Film it's a October Film for me as that is the Month my Oasis Cruse Took Place of that Year October. And that should be all of the Movie Memories that I have Based off of the Movies that you have Showcased at least the ones that came to mind. Aside from the First Jurassic Park Film being the Second Film that I ever watched in The Theaters after the Trash Heap we Call The Live Action Super Mario Bros Film. But either than that there's nothing Special about my own Personal experience of watching the First Jurassic Park Film for the First Time in Theaters. Maybe with the Movie Ending Late as we went to the Late Showing I got to Stay Up Late and for a Kid that was Special, well to me it was and of curse the for mentioned Second Movie in Theaters.
I love how you describe Blu-Rays as memories on your shelf cause that's honestly the best way to look at movies and that's why I love physical media so much. My collection is not even close to yours but I'm slowly expanding it lol. Also I love these types of vids cause it gives me something to listen to in my downtime and it's honestly awesome hearing someone talk about something like physical media so passionately
The way you described The Dark Knight (which I also LOVE) is exactly how I feel about Drive. Before I saw that in theaters as a teenager, movies were just something I watched for fun. I enjoyed them, but I never took them too seriously. Since that day, Nicolas Winding Refn’s masterpiece and Ryan Gosling’s performance truly opened my eyes into viewing cinema as an art form. Now I consider myself a true lover of film, and I keep track of every single movie I watch. Because of this, Drive is probably the most important movie I’ve ever watched, at least to me personally.
Watching this new video of your Blu Ray collection made me feel proud of owning my physical copies of my films!! 📽️ I always thought it was overcrowding my shelf's but now I see 🙈 that it does bring joy 😊 every time I dive into grab one and feel the connection that Blu ray story gives. Thank you, for always sharing your side of the movies 🍿, motivates to watch a new movie or even rewatch older movies. Also, one can relate to the reviews you give for each individual movie. 📀🛸 My all time favorite movies are usually science fiction and war history. When these genres are combined it makes an epic plot to a movie. 😃
Yes physical media is definitely the way to go to watch your favourite movies, if you do not want to lose your movie collection because the distribution rights changed suddenly.
Nice collection John, it’s always nice to see someone who loves and collects physical media as much as I do. Would always keep watching these regardless of how long they become.
I moved to Florida 3 years ago and had to leave the physical cases for my blu-rays at home. Packed all the disc into a dvd sleeve booklet. 3 years later my mom came to visit with an oversized suitcase full of empty blu-ray cases. It was like Christmas morning and I felt whole again to have my collection back on the shelf where it can collect dust until the end of time.
@ 50:58 I feel the exact same way about the avengers (2012) Idk why but after going to see that movie I started to look up videos about the avengers and I found the video of you and Chris Stuckman and the Pretty Much It review. After that I went down a rabbit hole and started really immersing myself in movies and checking out things I would have never seen on my own. It also helps me understand movies better and I just like hearing the different things people picked up in the movies that I sometimes missed or their personal memories tied to the movie.
Great watch, brought back so many great movie memories, thank you John. I think my greatest movie theater experience was watching Revenge of the Sith Opening Weekend, the most anticipated movie of my life at that point and I left the theater loving it. Only down side was I had to use the restroom when Yoda and Obi-Wan were killing some clones so I missed it. But it’s ok cuz my dad took me to see the movie again the following weekend, and I watched what I missed. Hurray! Thanks again for all your hard work to give us content John!
1:00:35 If anyones interested to grab em, search for Despecialized Star Wars (currently 720p but the guy is working on 1080 versions), or for 4K go for 4k77, 4k80 and 4k83 (which are scans of a 35mm print).
15:15 this is exactly how i feel about physical media…little time capsules pf emotion you can watch at anytime and not be worried that its unavailable on netflix, amazon or whatever because of whatever reason.. i always have it at my fingertips and the quality is always perfect. Unlike digital media where it could look all pixelated at anytime depending on how the internet acts on a given day, or if the internet isnt available at all, i can put in a disc and still watch a movie.
I remember you buying many of these movies in your old videos. Time flies so fast man. Been a subscriber since the early days and rewatched your videos so many times. Good times man, thanks for all the hours of entertainment!
I love the wholesome and beautiful speech about why you love physical media @14:25 , only to realize you were holding the hulk (2003) bluray while pouring your heart out 😂😅😂 idk I burst out laughing! Thank you for all your videos Johnny Boy! btw I also like ang lee's hulk too. The action scenes are fun. him facing off against the mutant dogs in the woods was pretty cool to me.
This was such a legendary video. I enjoyed every second . I love your mix between film knowledge and humor . We have very similar tastes in movies and I related to so much of what you had to say. liked and subbeed
Ah yes! I’ve been anticipating this more than Avatar 2😆 great vid Johnny! I want you to dress up as Mrs. Doubtfire and take care of me… don’t get scared now
the North Man wasnt bigger in scope are you serious its a damn great epic like wholly moley i think im only one who says its a masterpiece and Kidman performance was awesome
At 57:21 I just brought all of the Thor movies on 4k now since I never own them before and I only see the first movie back in 2011 on Netflix or Redbox I can’t remember it been so long though but I’m glad to own them all now on 4k so I could start watching them too and I bet they look stunning on 4k too John bro
I like getting physical copies of my favorite movies growing up too! I'm still trying to find Gleaming the Cube from pawn shops and the 3 Ninjas trilogy etc.
To me physical media and movies have ties to memories and people and different times in my life that otherwise would be forgotten and keeping that media on the shelf is like a library of those memories. Along with an appreciation for the media itself. And I totally agree with your take on The Incredible Hulk, I love that movie + The Hulk from 2003.
So Batman Begins was a turning point movie for you. Funny part is it is also a turning point movie for me. It was the first movie my future wife and I went to see on our first date. And we are still together to this day. So I wonder if Nolan thought his Batman movie was going to be so inspirational. BTW did I miss it? I mean my eyes weren't on the screen the entire video but I'm sure if you showed us you would have done the best impression ever if Morgan Freeman. But I don't recall seeing Shawshank Redemption. If I missed it poor me. If you don't have it. Poor Andy.... Thanks for entertaining us
Ok, I've just started watching your new video John and I am going to take a shot of vodka every time you say the word movie....Wish me luck everyone 🤣🤣 PS I love ya John 🤣 PS Farrrkkkkkkk, 5 shots in first 6 second and over an hour to go.....Someone call the ambulance already 😛
Nice to see another enitre collection video. I can relate in terms of the effort to make these videos. I did a complete steelbook collection video on my channel and that was long enough. If I had to do all 6000+ titles, mine would takes days XD So many memories in movie collections as you say.
After 3 years, here's my new complete movie collection breakdown! I talk about physical media and share some stories along the way, enjoy!
I hope someone in the comments of the video puts time stamps for each title
For a while I was wondering why you got rid of la la land on 4k but now I know because you have the steelbook

Love it!
How many do you have? I'm up to about 1300 blurays at this time myself
Always love when you do these and seeing the movies you’ve chosen to keep over the years!
I remember watching your old collection videos back in 2010!! Magical and mystical

15:22 - "These are all little emotions.."
The best movie guy on TH-cam. Always watch a couple videos every day before bed. You made me a collector. Thanks
this is what i've been waiting for this entire year. Your videos help me go through hard time, John! Hope to see more of you, Flick Pick
Now lets see Paul Allen's blu-ray collection

Bet you loved Overlord then, and I don't blame you..
Yes, the Overlord movie had an interesting twist with it being about the soldiers 🪖 finding a terrifying horror behind a door.
Yes physical media is definitely the way to go to watch your favourite movies, if you do not want to lose your movie collection because the distribution rights changed suddenly.
Smart!
Just rip your blu rays to your HDDs instead
I love your content Flick Pick! And I love these updated Blu-ray collections! Keep up the great work!
10 years of collection videos with John, can’t believe it’s been that long since the first one
Aye where’s a new Leyba collection video tho?

So glad to see another blu ray collection video. It’s been too long 😊

I love when you start quoting movies I feel like I'm only person who does that or at my job at least lol
I do that a lot. It’s annoying whenever I quote something, even if it’s something really popular, people look at me like I’m high off my ass.
