Dr.B.R.S was instrumental in flying Dr.MGR to USA for treatment and his bold disagreement with lawmakers with his logical explanation proving Dr.MGR health would not be affected due to flying and high altitude extended Dr.MGR's health
Also, Dr.B.R.S helped DMK Chief Kaliangar Karunanidhi for few years after Dr.MGR recommendation. Dr.B.R.S took MGR and M.R Radha after the shooting incident to the hospital

Indira Gandhi made all arrangements to fly MGR to USA for treatment, ironically by the time he recovered and returned back she was already assassinated. MGR did not take that very easily he was immensely pained by her death.
