Aminatou Precon Upgrades in 10 Seconds or Less

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
We got the Meathook Massacre interaction wrong. Unfortunately instead of behaving like a cost reducer like Jet Medallion, Aminatou applies an alternate cost to MM of {0}BB-{4} which means you CAN choose to cast it for that Miracle cost but it will mean X will effectively be 0. Sorry about the mistake!

The alternate cost includes {-4} so it actually does work. There is a tweet by the WOTC rules manager that proves this.

I saw Meathook spike in price and decided it was worth more to sell it than use it in Aminatou.

We'd agree with that assessment. Ten 5 dollar cards will make your deck way better than one 50 dollar card! Also, as another comment pointed out, Meathook actually doesn't interact with Aminatou well so you definitely made the right call.

We thought about it but it's tough to re-use and we aren't sure to be countering the stuff we need to. It's a very powerful card though! Love it in my Gavi, Nest Warden deck

@@planarparty the precon comes with Hall of Heliod's Generosity. Any sort of draw/loot with it sounds dirty . Especially with the miracle reduction

That's essentially a 7 mana (2 for Heliod, "1" because Heliod has to tap, then 4 to cast Silence) interaction between exactly two cards in the deck, the most important of which can't be tutored in our build. Definitely cool but not something I'm looking to plan around for a higher powered deck. Additionally I'm spending 7 mana every cycle so I'm not doing a whole lot else and my opponents are getting all their spells countered so it also just isn't engaging gameplay which isn't my favorite for casual either. Just misses the mark for us!

​@@planarparty tldr aminatous ability says cards in your hand have miracle equal to their mana cost reduced by 4 but everywhere except the stack X spells have X auto set to zero so technically Meathook gets Miracle {B}{B} not Miracle {X-4}{B}{B}
