Hi Bob - If you have trouble sourcing Lignum Vitae for the pallet bushes, let me know and I will send you some. I found an old lawn bowls ball made of the stuff and have sliced it up into blanks (using the metal bandsaw!) Regards
Wow thanks a lot Clive...I have not found any Lignum Vitae yet...let me look around here on this side of the pond to save you the work...but please do keep me a piece just in case...holiday season so may be a week or so before I get back to you...here's my email renaissance505@hotmail.com if you can send me a message and we can correspond that way...bob...tnx again
Hi Bob, I hope you get this wherever you are. Thank you so much for your generosity. Your inspirational videos have helped me choose a new path. All the very best, Alan.
Hi Peter...your question points out that I should have talked a bit more about oil sinks...as you can see after you cut the sink the pivot sits a bit proud in the center...I use a very small injector to place a small drop at the base of the pivot...you don't fill the sink...and if the oil drips down the plate it will suck out the oil and leave the pivot dry...the oil sink stops that...Cheers Peter...bob
Thanks for another excellent video. I'm learning a lot from your efforts, and I appreciate the time you are taking to explain what you are doing. The clock is looking great.
Thanks, great work! I have Porter's book but I've been using Gearotic Motion to make my wheels and pinions lately but it looks like his cutters are excellent so I'll have to revisit his method.
Hi Bob. I want to wish you a happy new year. A little late but still ok. I hope you're doing great. It would be nice to see the next episode of the clock build. Take care.
Another excellent video Robert! I've planted all my wheels and have just finished the motion-work. so now a mammoth session of crossing-out all the wheels is imminent! I'm going for a six-spoke pattern with sharp corners so I'll be busy for quite a while I reckon! Regards from NZ

All the very best, Alan.
Nice to see someone else using Mr Porter's tools. Very practical and easy to make designs. The clock is coming along nicely as well, congrats.
Thanks Paul...bob
G’day Bob, always a pleasure to watch. The oil sinks are interesting, I gather it’s surface tension that keeps the oil in place.
Cheers
Peter

Great work, Bob🙂. Drilling hole in special pieces like that always makes me nervous, you've made it into an artform 😁. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks a lot...it is a bit worrisome drilling into a piece you have so much time invested into...bob
Robert, I know that I am not only asking for myself but how are you doing? Stay safe God Bless Ralph

Robert, I love your channel. Reading the threads, I hear you have been sick. This was about a year ago. Hope you are well and see this post.
Why did you stop making videos? Are you still making clocks? Are you still alive?
Hey Bob,
I know things are wild where you're at but how about doing a short film so we all know you're safe.
