I will forever remember this game as the scariest game for its time O_O I remember the fan, and remember I couldnt even play it after I saw the creepy crawling parasites!!! I couldnt even get past the first part :( Now Im 34 and I look back and I find it amazing :) I wish I wasnt so sensitive 😢 Baby ducky protect me ^-^

This game started development under Tokuro Fujiwara's company before it was dissolved, though he remained the producer of it. Not only did he direct Sweet Home, the game that had a huge inspiration on Resident Evil, because Resident Evil 1 itself was originally intended to be a Sweet Home game. But, he's also one of the creators of Resident Evil as well. There's enough shared DNA here to call all of these games brothers.
I got this game in the discount bin from Toys R Us long ago and I loved it from the start. Still have that copy just don't have a PS2 any longer. Used to replay it a ton.

One of my first PS2 games about 20 years ago. I was a teen with an $8/week allowance, mowing a few lawns at $10/lawn, and Extermination was $4 used back then. Recently rebought it and started replaying it. I barely remember anything about the gameplay, but I just did in 1 hour what used to take me several hours back in the day. So yeah, I'm astonished by how dumb I was in my teens, but glad to have enough fun with it now. Dreading the boss at 2:12:18, though (never got past it).
One of the first games I bought for PS2, hungry for something to tide me over until Code Veronica was ported for the console. A flawed game with some some very cheesy voice acting, but the atmosphere was and is incredible. Thanks for posting.
Hey bud sorry I'm late to the party - you helped me out big time after lab lvl 2 - I can't believe he was right under my feet the whole time at the shortcut into the lvl 1 warehouse... Didn't know you could slice the spike traps too, that's gonna be a huge help I can already tell. Anyway I know this is kinda a speed run and you probably know where everything is, but just figured I could point out some stuff for you and some people watching that might help. At 1:45:00 there's a vent shaft you can use to go down to the drill in lvl 2, after you start the detonator. There's ammo and a booster down there but about four or five of the mini slug things (hate those things) And at 1:46:00 and 1:46:20 respectively - you can take another vent shaft to the immediate left when you step out the door (the map can help) and to get that gold full heal pack, and when you get back out to go down the hall with the blood webs, there's a lone small brown crate in the hallway you can break open for a vaccine. pretty late reply but yes. As a kid I cheesed the fight by standing on the fallen tower and shooting them from a distance. The AI didn't climb onto the tower.

Holy shit man. I remember playing this when i was like 5, and i was always too scared to fight the monster, so i always quit right before, lol. Same with metal gear solid, I was always too scared to get caught as soon as you came up from the water that i never beat the fiest level lol. This is a trip, man 😂😂

There's so much ham and cheese in this dialogue, if I had some bread I could make a sandwich. XD And the ending song is literally a crossing of shooby-doo and doo-wop. My. GAWD. I dunno whether I love it or hate it. XD;; I'm only disappointed you speedran the thing. I'd have preferred thoroughness and appropriate levels of æxterminatus totalis. So now the big question is, since that misbegotten quzzle hit ocean, that means HO213 hit ocean. And the planet is boned. Also, what do we do with the 6 tons of goo on the aft deck?

But after you meet up with Cindy its like the story became laughably bad. Best way I can describe it is as if they took jon carpenters the thing and made it into a bad anime with a cheesy 80s action movie thrown in.
In the sequel, Travis Miller is to frame Dennis, Gary and Cindy for the destruction of fort Stewart. Haha just my speculation. There WAS meant to be an extermination 2
I finally managed to defeat the executioner but the final boss is what I hate the most cuz it won't stop shooting bacteria at me and won't stop going which direction it wants to go

I always loved that thicc baselick throughout the game.
This game didn’t get nearly as much credit as it deserved. It was awesome imo. The acting and dialogue on the other hand was horrendous.
The plot and gameplay is what matters. It's like a movie with bad acting but the story is good so it's a good movie.
