    If I wanted a wider cable, can I just add 2 additional stitches to my chain? This would afford me the opportunity to make the cable 2x2 instead od 1x1. I could still use your count but just add 2 additional stitches to the chain to compensate for the 2 extra needed in the cable. Your video is excellent in explanation and easy to follow!

    This is the first method I've found that does NOT include BPTC, which I have always found impossible to do. Thank you. I am going to try this. And thank you for explaining the stitch count. That makes it so much easier to design something for myself. Or, to adapt this for a particular size. :D
    But, let me ask you: with the HDC, are you working in the back loop only? It looks like you are. If so, do you recommend that?

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much, Marige!! I'm very glad you were able to make the cable stitch. I'm not crocheting in the back loops, but you can always try it, it might give a more 3d look as you go throught the rows.

    • @marigeobrien
      @marigeobrien 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have since tried a swatch (I'm in the midst of a monster full-size afghan, but I had to at least see), and it's just as easy it seems. I see now why I thought it was in back loops. It isn't, as you say, but it does look that way. Thanks again!

    Excellent teaching video , thank you...I am trying to figure out how to do a throw so I assume that in doing multiples of 6 my chain for a throw may be about 72 chain? 6x12? Does that sound about right?

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much!!! Yes, 72 chains sound right!!! :) :)

    This is a lovely pattern for a cowl! Would it work if I made it on the round instead of turning??

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much!! Unfortunately, it wouldn't work in the round, you have to turn every time you finish a row.

    Hi I am not a beginner but wanting to make something with cables I made a comment yesterday and cannot find it your video is the best and easiest to follow I I’m trying to make a poncho or maybe a sweater but will probably be a poncho I’m a little confused about the stitch multiple but I believe it will be ok since this is not a extremely fitted garment. I’m using worsted knitting yarn Berroco Comfort calls for 5.00mm hook but using 4.00mm hook for less gaps I chained 78 with 6+6 multiple it turns out ok one side left with 4 hdc the other 5 hdc I don’t that will make a huge difference because it’s a poncho do you ?

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much!! If you're in the beginning you can frog so you have the correct stitches on both sides, but since you're going to make a poncho, I really don't think it would be visible.

    How would you make this on a hat? When there's no "wrong side"?

    • @KikiCrochet
      @KikiCrochet  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make it into a hat, by turning your work everytime you complete a row, instead of working in continuous rounds, this way in one row you'll have the "right" side and when you turn your work you'll have the "wrong" side. Hope I make sense.
