Bukenya Morgan, The COM port will not open if there is already a TCP connection to the devices data port or the COM port is already in use. Make sure that if you use the COM Tests tab to test the COM port, you end the test and close the COM port before trying to connect with your application software. Hello I need to use encryption AES 256 bit on Lantronix TCP/IP XPico module. Lantronix has not a version of Secure Com Port Redirector supporting Windows10 / Windows Server 2016 I tried to use Tactical software bit it not works when configuring Lantronix module for encryption. Any idea please?

What I mean by "if there is a TCP connection to the devices port" is, if another program has a network connection to the device or a telnet session is open to port 10001 of the device, then the COM port will not be able to open because the device does not support simultaneous connections.
