A family who adopted puppies just weeks before police shut down a Norton Shores rescue have dealt with sick dogs and expensive vet bills. (Feb. 9, 2023)
This is what the Humane Society is for, to fight for the animals. Write to your state legislators. My Humame Society has a group of volunteers that advocate for animals. Under direction from the Humane Society, we write letters to the legislators to support bills that help animals. I hope the puppies recover 100%. Look what nice, soft and warm beds they have and how peacefully they sleep in front of a warm fire. I am so happy they found such loving parents. All dogs deserve this kind of life.
Norton Shores was not a "rescue", it was a breeder. They provided minimal care to maximize their profit. Greedy people. They should be put in jail, and never be allowed to own a pet.
Don't let it get you down. You'll end up spending more than $3200 for those pups in dog food, toys, grooming and other expenses in a very short period of time.

The laws regarding the care of animals really should be stronger, and far more punitive.

over 2,000 they first of all need a new vet. ridiculous....
Help them. Maybe go fund me will help.
It costs twice as much for my cat to get its teeth cleaned than mine.

This risk comes with obtaining any dog. If you cant afford vet bills then you shouldnt get the dog, let alone three.
