This video has 8 versions. each being a harder attempt to avoid the copy right than the last. and not a claim. a block. which means no one would be able to watch the video. I knew Toho was hard on copyright, but this is just comically stupid. and the video is probably a lot worse because of it. so, remind me to never ever make a video on anything made by Toho ever again. which is a shame because they have a lot of great stuff. my hero included, the series is at the best it has ever been, season 6 is absolutely amazing.
Underrated channel, why haven't I seen this before lol I mean it makes sense to me, he had no guard because of delaware smash and ate that punch in the jaw at nerf almights 100%. And this is also explained later near the end of the series where people near death gets power a power up because of something (I forgor what it's called) also this is not a shounen thing because it's from quirks itself, and it is one for all after all. just my opinion lel :3
@@Chaos_BTQ Honestly, while I think it's the biggest stretch win for decu outside of the movies, I don't really mind it THAT much. I made this mainly because of the idea I had on how to change it, the goal was to do a small rewrite in a way that even if you don't agree with my complaint you would find it a neat change! Anyways thanks for dropping by. this video was half ruined by copyright but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway. I do a lot of different things since this channel is just for me to get some creativity out, but I am trying to learn more with every video. If that sounds interesting a sub would be appreciated!
@@APolygons2 Yea its a good idea and I know u didnt hate it completely but just lease liked it. It would've been all fixed at the overhaul fight anyways, even if he lost an arm lol. subbed after the vid trust the quality of ur vid XD. keep improving gl!
While it is an overdone trope in most shonen, The thing I appreciate is that it doesn't happen for every fight in My Hero Academia like it does in most other shonens. In fact this fight is the only instance of him willing himself to break his limits without anything but pure motivation, as far as I'm aware, which makes it work much better. (not including the movies which tend to dramatize the fights for pure hype). And it makes sense thematically, this was his official debut as someone's first hero so he was insanely motivated to protect Kota. *Now here is my personal improvement/explanation for this feat.* This is at a time in the series when his quirk was slowly beginning to evolve, and Deku wasn't exactly aware of how strong he was. Near the beginning of the fight when he said "that was 100% of my power", he doesn't actually know that for sure, it's still just an estimation without any way to know for certain. When we see ALL MIGHT use 100%, there is a massive difference in power to when Deku uses 100%, which is evidence enough for me that his claimed "100%" is more like in the 40%-50% ballpark. And to me, the visual of Deku reaching for the rainbow spark when he does "1 million percent" isn't just for cool effect, it's a literal representation of him being given more power from the previous users, grasping for it. Each of the colors in the spark represent each user collectively, and at this point in the series it's possible that they leant him a temporary power up as a last ditch effort. It's the kind of power they wouldn't normally be comfortable with him having yet because it would literally make his arm permanently damaged, which could explain why he wouldn't get the boost at the start of the fight as a means to preserve his vessel for as long as possible. That's just my headcanon explanation, but it's a lot more solid than just saying "He won with the power of willpower and friendship"
"In fact this fight is the only instance of him willing himself to break his limits without anything but pure motivation" That's interesting, cause I think there are a lot of instances where a character pushes past their limits with sheer will power and a ton of them work amazingly. like All might vs Nomu, He pushed so much passed what he could normally do, and you felt that. And unlike this fight, that felt completely earned. But I mean I get why this fight was made like this, and I think it works for the most part, the issue is that I don't think the punishment was sufficient for the payoff. Like after the euphoria of all might beating Nomu, his daily use of power got cut to like a 1/3 of what it was before. I mean yes his power was slowly diminishing anyway, but that is a HUGE loss. On the other hand "no pun intended" Decu's punishment being "if he did that a few more times, his arm wouldn't work anymore" just feels like a nothing burger. Even now, 4 seasons later, that damage has yet to be actually important. The thing is, this is still not a bad fight, I specifically called it the worst "big" fight. As in it's the weakest fight when comparing it to other important fights in my hero. So as I said in the video too, I didn't really make this to shit on the fight, the main goal was the rewrite, to make it even better, even for the people who already call it great. Like you can't tell me it wouldn't have worked great. Him gaining his arm back in the overhaul fight would have been so cool too!
Tbf this isn't 1m percent. The thing that changed was he opened up his defense and then got a cleaner hit. Each previous time, it was blocked to an extent. And also remember, one for all is a culmination of power, it makes perfect sense he could draw more power. Mothers can lift cars for their children for example. And i think the later rematch helps this fight, but obviously thats only after the fact.
to be frank, as I said In the video, I don't hate the fight, it's just my least favorite "big" fight in the series. and I mostly made the video because I think the idea I had for the change makes it better even if you like the fight. it was blocked though. in fact it wasn't even a new punch. his hand was still stuck from the second punch. so it was on the exact same spot as that second punch. I get why the punch was stronger, but the punch went from just throwing him, to a 1 hit kill. and it just felt like decu's punishment wasn't large enough. just saying "he can't do this more than a few times" didn't feel enough to me. but again, I don't even dislike the fight. I made the video because I had that idea on how to make it even better.
@@APolygons2 yea, the punishment I think was alright, considering his intention was to not overdo it. So it worked well enough. Obviously there's times he'll avoid that, and do it anyway. That's why I feel like it's adequate. Now caught up, I think the reasoning for it not being abig deal present time also makes sense, even if it doesn't feel satisfying. I get you, it was a good video
