The first twirling part makes sense if you hold it upside down and watch how it opens the same way that the little top square does. Awesome video, thank you!!
By the way, I'm just stupid, I had my brother watch the video and he saw what I was doing wrong and helped me. This is an awesome video because it's the only video that actually was easy.
why are people getting so butt hurt about this? This is seriously soo much easier than other advanced origami creations, and if you can't do this, atleast show some respect by not leaving rude comments...
For all you people whineing and complaing,this is one of the easy versions of the real HARD origami rose.This is easier then the real one therefore easy is in the name =).

Nice model - should be able to use it with my beginner class with a little bit of help at the end. One suggestion, to make the water bomb collapse easier, make two book folds (color side up) after making the two diagonals (white side up). Also, if the model is small, fingers may be too big for the twisting. Tie together 4 toothpicks with a rubber band - place one toothpick in each corner of the center + (each toothpick acts like a tiny finger) for the twisting.

If each of the folds don't turn out perfect, don't bother continuing. Get a new paper and try again.I learned this the hard way. Pass it around!
It's actually pretty hard at the twisting part, but even then, I already got stuck at the part where you fold it into something like a rectangular shaped, but eventually I got it done for all sides, then now I struggle with the twisting part, since I already saw how he\she did it, it looked good, so I think mine is going to turn out pretty good after I get this part done. @DarkPlaidBlade Push up the bottom, while also twisting the left flaat backward and the right flap forwards. That is what makes the bottom flat. After that, you can twist it
Origami roses last a lot longer than the fresh ones. But they don't smell that good. That's when perfume or essential oils come in handy! See the Kawaski Rose Tutorial by thepapercaper! It's easy, I made heaps!
for the twisty part there is a trick.... place it on the table and then do what he says.... it might not look right at first but it will after you try again
I'm going to half to agree with many ppl thus was easy. But I don't have X-ray vision so if you could slow down and move your hand while your doing some of the hard parts that would be much appreciated

This was the 4th tutorial I tried and the only one I was able to complete. All I did was pause the video after every step. Really easy! Really great!

I got it hurray, when u do the twisting part, u have to push the petals down and they will all lean the same direction, awesome

this is easy to those familiar w origami. if this is too hard for you just practice the easier stuff first, then soon this will seem easy :)

sorry, I take that back - you have to hold the flower at the bottom when you twist it. Also, you have to push down slightly.
