This guy seems to have unlimited knowledge locked behind doors in his mind. The questions you ask him are the keys to the doors. If you ask him the right question he will give you the knowledge freely. He is brilliant.

I once saw a great interview with Morgan Freeman and he said listening to the other actor like the words are heard for first time...is so important and it helped me so much in auditions. I pay more attention to other actor lines’ now when memorizing.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
      ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NIV‬
ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
      ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19:10‬ ‭
God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins :D When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless you all! 😊❤️

Nerves... Yup I can see that being a huge issue. Whenever I hear of an actor that never watches their own movies I think it has to do with that problem. And why I never got into acting myself. Fear of not being any good and that fear making it a reality. Which is brutal. Rehearsal rehearsal rehearsal must kill lots of that

You know those advices are very well known acting principles, which are taught in any serious acting school, right?
The importance of listening in acting, for example, was first theorised by Stanislavski, a Russian actor who was about as white as they get.
I'm all for social justice and all of that, but except if you're playing someone from a specific culture your white teacher doesn't know about, or are looking for career advices on how to survive in the industry as a person of color, a competent white teacher will be more than able to help you out.
Drama lessons (and acting) are very hard for the ego, regardless of your race. It's possible that you were confronted to racism while on stage, but it's also possible that you were just being taught in the blunt, suck-it-up way acting is often taught.
