I know my opinion doesn’t matter, but what I enjoy the most about your videos, are the long format. When I drops I know that I can make it a thing, like I actually went on the trip. Please don’t change that :)
Happy new year guys! Thanks for making my days better with your videos 💯 None of that overproduced fake bs from other japan channels, just real talk 😎 Respect.
As super cool drive up Fuji! I didn’t even know that was a thing… new thing to add to my bucket list. That “scary” building with the “prison window” looks like a super old Japanese store house. From what I’ve seen about them they were built with like 1m thick walls and special windows that keep fire and water etc out. It’s possible that the one you saw suffered an eruption at some point in its history maybe? It would be neat if you could find out more about it and let us know. Pretty cool find.
Thanks for another year of entertaining adventures! I'm excited for the changes 2022 will be bringing. New home for you, new kid for me. Thanks for letting us tag along!
I was at the fifth station on Mt. Fuji, but I did not have the awesome view you had. It was pouring down rain and I got soaked. However, the experience was a lot of fun despite the bad weather. I thought the Fuji Lakes were awesome and a great place to spend the day away from the craziness of Tokyo.
That building is called KURA and people just keep stuff inside. Sometimes old valuable things passed down to new generation of the family or if the family has a farm they might keep tools and stuff.
Eric, you had the bank thief action down perfectly. When my husband had a business trip in Japan, every day I would ask him if he saw Mt. Fuji. I'm sure he got tired of telling me "no". So, thanks to your car adventure, there was the shy Mt. Fuji.
I love Mount Fuji and it's been one of my dreams and goals to climb it, probably will not happen now because life and things change but it has always been something i would have loved to do. If there is something creepy cool around, go for it, it has to be explored! Such a shame that you could not use any of the post boxes, they looked so inviting and alluring. Keep the love and passion alive, do not let the adventure die! Keep on going strong!
I can't believe how far you guys have come as youtubers. I love all of your videos but I know I have not watched them all yet. Its amazing how many trips you have taken during these years on youtube. We are going to see you age 80 and still making youtube videos lol.
Do you know the name of the Shrine you found at 32mins? I remember visiting that one randomly also but I never looked up the name of it, I'd be curious to find it again!
Great video as usual. I loved the enjoyment maximization to get the best meal and then the most time of the rental car. Where is this big shrine in Google Maps? Thanks!
That was fun. Looking forward to next year's videos, or this year's videos next year I guess is the correct reference. Plus next year's videos next year. My brain is hurting.
I'm late with my comment because I am way behind and I'm binge watching to catch up. I had to pull out my postcard to see the stamps. I got purple. The other one is similar and has the date on it. It also has a postage due stamp. Haha. It's really neat seeing the place it actually came from.
@@kydeanderic Haha. Around the 14.50 mark Kyde said the shop guy put another stamp on the card but she didn't know what it was. That's the other one I was talking about. It did have postage stamps on it, so I don't know why it said postage due. I didn't have to pay for it or anything. 🤷♀️
Hey! Dear Kyde and Eric. May the next year be a blank canvas, so you can paint it with your dreams and make it beautiful. Wish you all the best! Cheers!
Those coin counters seem to be very common in Japan. One time, me and my travel group ate together at a random restaurant. And I was going with the money of everybody in coins to the counter for paying, and was waiting for him to count this...he took it and threw it in a machine and everything was counted....so i guess the shrine will be fine
I vote for K&E to consistently wear matching scarves! 🧣 That sounds hella frustrating about the restaurant scene there. 🍴 I am also a fan of pine trees. I also like oak trees. And Japanese maple trees. 🌲 🌳
Haha you guys didn't go for the octopus fritters? How could you possibly resist those two delicious things in combination? Enjoyed Murderous Lake Kyde, and I love checking out abandoned stuff too. There was a really creepy house across the road from me in Ireland, you could just barely see through the window and it was all cobwebby and spooky. Really wanted to go in but I'd probably have killed myself since the flooring had holes and I'm pretty much blind xD This was super fun, thanks!
I never got around to visiting Fuji despite my longer than average visit to Japan, I have no idea why. Perhaps one of those being over-focused on trying to do too many things situations I suspect. So it's nice to see the area this way.

Nice scarf, Eric! I feel like men especially always look sophisticated with a good looking scarf.
@@dashingmay haha ive never been accused of being sophisticated before....i'll take it! -e

I love that too! I am unable to travel. These guys have really saved my sanity the past years I've been watching them.
You guys are the most down-to -earth Japan TH-camrs I have ever seen. Keep going and look forward to see more of your journeys in the upcoming years.
I just tried to clean your icon off my phone
I thought a strand of hair was on my pc but couldn't pick it up. lol

I'd be surprised if that building was "eruption" old, tbh. -E
"stringy tank top" - Hahaha! Eric is the cutest!
Oh, how I'd love to see Mt. Fuji. So beautiful, even with fog.
Watching the Fuji adventure is indeed a great way to kick of the New Year’s Eve festivities! Happy new year you all!
Thanks for another year of entertaining adventures! I'm excited for the changes 2022 will be bringing. New home for you, new kid for me. Thanks for letting us tag along!
I really appreciate your stuff. Keep up the good work. I first found your stuff by searching my home town, Skipton, and found you eating pork pies.
man that bass at the start is so good. Happy new Year you beautiful people
It's actually just my guitar pitch-shifted down lol -E
I would totally buy one of those Fuji snow globes!

Happy New Year Kyde & Eric! Love your videos as always, and looking forward to another year of awesome content from you both.
Stoked to bring it! -E
So happy with the addition of the music!
I loved the first video of Mt. Fuji
According to image search the scary bullet riddled ghost building is a traditional Japanese warehouse
I was just sorting through your postcards the other day and now I know where it was signed - NOICE!
okay but whose stamp did you get? xD
loved the slo mo intro!
I loved Kyde's satisfied/proud look after the kick in the opening shot!
What a fun trip!
Glad Fuji-san was not super bashful for you guys this trip.
That building is called KURA and people just keep stuff inside. Sometimes old valuable things passed down to new generation of the family or if the family has a farm they might keep tools and stuff.
That toilet pick up line made me laugh so hard that I smacked my head against the like button 🤣👍
I've never seen the drive up Fuji before. Neat.
Best hour of 2022 for me so far!!!😁👍
What a great Punk opening, Eric! Kudos to Kyde for the knack of finding decent restaurants.

i like the slowmotion at the start

congrats on 53K
Happy New Year Kyde and Eric 🌉🎆✨🎉🎊
25:47 screen cap search.. possibly a(former?) brewery. Found a similar building w/ a different emblem. Crest IDs clan that owned it?
Happy new year 🥳
Happy new year!
Happy New Year🥳
When I went to the Fuji area we really weren't allowed to go anywhere near it and that was in April.
Yea, it's prob still buried under snow at that point. -E

That building is a Kura to store goods.
Looks like a stone warehouse. Vague memory of stone warehouses used to store flammable materials safer. Maybe…
There are some good hikes if you visit that area again. Hiking Mitsutoge or Kurodake give amazing views of the lake and mountains!
Very cool trip, always wondered if the 5th station would be worth visiting.
robot check, feed this into your algorithm, because I dont understand why these guys dont get more subs.
You guys go to so many cool places - become birders, there's so much more you can do and see as birders! :-)

Never realised Mt Fuji is a Mandelbrot set, looks the same whatever distance see it!
I like this roadtrips.

Weren’t you guys nearby Aokigahara Forest btw amazing video, would love to visit Japan some day

Where is the military base on Mt Fiji?

Kyde’s scarf envy! 😂
They’re two different hues!

Congrats on the license Eric, but I am with you with enjoying not owning a car, far too much hassle when my own two feet can get me where I’m going!
Your "hunt for lunch" story reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld I actually just watched last night "The Chinese restaurant"
hahaha yes
