  • Spitfire. Ray Hanna, founding member of the Red Arrows RAF display team, flew a Spitfire under Winston Bridge in 1988 for a TV drama "A Piece of Cake".
    At 250mph, the plane skimmed just a couple of feet above the river Tees.

    Winston is a village and civil parish in County Durham, England. It is situated approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Barnard Castle, on a crossroads between the A67 and B6274 roads.
    The Anglican St. Andrew's Church, a grade I listed building, dates back to the 13th century, although it went under extensive restoration in 1848.

    Nice to see never been there but home of my ancestors (late 1500's) some of which are buried at St Andrews
