Composing and creating are much harder than playing. That’s why them old school European musicians were so highly rated. Always imitated but never duplicated. It really takes talent to pull this kinda shit off in real life. I mean, hard work alone just ain’t gonna cut it.
@@GVZKeys I think the point you’re missing is back then there was no technology, just education being passed down, with technique rarely being found in poorer neighborhoods. There was no TH-cam, there was no Synthesia, no digital MIDI where you could SEE where the keys that had to be played were and slow them down. You had to be a master. There’s a reason why pianos are viewed as a sign of elegance, and nobility. You had to climb in order to learn, and even then had to steal techniques in the form of viewing and memorizing, almost everyone had to do so back then.
Victor Luigi Imagine the Struggle , we have Little Pump and Ed Sheeran. Much more People need to listen to the Grand Master like Beethoven , Mozart , Schubert , Brahms , Chopin and way way more.

I first tried to learn Für Elise 5 years ago, when I was the epitome of a beginner; I remember thinking that my hands were too small for piano and that I'd never be able to play Beethoven. I can now play half of this video with pedals and dynamics within 2 weeks. While I know that Für Elise is considered a simple musical piece when compared to Paganini and other composer's works, I am really thankful that I stuck with piano!

Since Beethoven had bad handwriting no one knows what the name really was, but many people believe that it was actually Fur Therese who was someone Beethoven actually knew.
you guys should watch one of these songs. -Franz Liszt: Hungarian rhapsody no.2 - -Franz Liszt: La Campanella - -Frederic Chopin: Polonaise heroic - -Frederic Chopin: Minute waltz - all are good -Frederic Chopin: winter wind - really good -Ludwig van Beethoven: Rage over a lost penny - -Frederic Chopin: Opus 9 no 2 - -Frederic Chopin: Opus 66 Fantaisie-Impromptu -
Scott Frederick no? He was born in 1770 and in about the year 1800 his hearing started to decrease. From 1812 his hearing got even worse and in 1827 he died.
fun story about fur elise: beethoven wrote the first part to be easy because he was in love with one of his beginner students, the woman he wrote it for. he had proposed to her but she turned him down so he wrote the second part to be more difficult so she could never play it
Why is everyone saying this is hard? It is actually quite easy. You just have to remember the combination of the notes. And try to play it slowly before playing it fast. Do not give up! Keep trying, get used to it and master it!
UntoldAnimations "Only 1800's kids" you obviously know about all the kids who go on 90's or 80's music videos and say "Only 90's/80's kids appreciate this" and "i hate modern music" Well i was doing a spinoff of that but saying "1800's kids" makes is into a joke because obviously theres really not any 1800's kids. There you go. I explained the joke for you. I should feel terrible about posting a joke on youtube comments? Ok well lets turn this around, you should feel terrible about not understanding an obvious joke. Sound better? I learned to 1:02 at home, did not took very long. My piano teacher tried to learn me 3 more seconds of it, did not come any further, and I tried for weeks..
how long it took for you to get the first part at this video speed....? im going to learn piano...with synthesia.... : ) (shame is i dont have the second part with the fingers notation and i will have to figure it out i guess...and it can take forever...)
I played very slow at the start, like one second for every note change. I played approximately 2-3 hours per day in one week. Thereafter, I could play as the speed in this video :) It is only about training.
and for the fast part with all those chords and all (1:02 onwards)...how long it took? u got it in the end or u gave up? i guess its the same process as learning first part....but it will just take longer right? : ) im 38 im sure my brain doesnt work like kids here who say they learned the whole thing in a couple of days (maybe trolls?)
thanks for the answers , take it as fun...when its so difficult specially when is full of the comments saying how easy it is !!! you could mark it like your new years eve resolution !!! dont give up ! im going to learn this whole thing !! even if it takes me 1 fucking year to play it at a descent speed / accuracy !
I learnt to play 'The Entertainer' by Scott Joplin. I have passed my grade 1 with a passable and it took me 4 months of constant playing. It is actually quite hard.
This piece flows so nicely. And tbh the middle section right hand isn’t that bad you just have to get the rotation down and really anchor that pinky on the g. Slow and steady practice gets it
@@ArtisticAlly123 Therese was a student of Beethoven and he composed this song to her because he really liked her and she wasn't the best piano player so Beethoven made this peace easy.... till the middle part. That's when Beethoven found out Therese was engaged to someone else so he made it hard so she could never play it.
Some tips Don't waste time on the first, or main movement. Learn it, and practice the 2nd and 3rd. They are much harder and require more skill and hand movement, especially the end of the second movement. If you're not a person to read the paper, and memorizes the song, look at the right hand. Left is pretty easy and repetitive once you learn the whole song, and the right hand requires lots of stretches in certain parts. In the third movement, alternate the fingers in the left hand when only one key is being played. Don't play A with one finger, use the first three. The music will sound more fluid and actually makes it easier once you master it.
i need some advice. i am 17 years old. is it too late for me to start learning piano? ive always wanted to do it but due to my laziness in years past i always didn't do it. and if its not too late where can i learn to read sheet music
Nope I Dont have a music teacher but i always wanted to play piano so i played piano on my ipad when i was 10 until 12 years old, and then i asked my mom to buy me a piano on my birthday, i learn piano just from youtube :)
It's never too late to learn. I never had a music teacher teach me piano, and I can play it almost as easily as I can play the flute. Once you get the hang of it, sheet music is easy. I've learned to play a number of songs using TH-cam. I would offer to help, but I can really only read the treble clef, and I don't know how much help that will be. I wish I could be of more assistance, but still I hope this helps!
***** I have 17 years, and it past 2 months since I've been playing piano. It's never toolate, you will easily learn to read piano sheets, it's not that hard as it seems to be.But at beginning you will have to be tenacious.
i remember that my grand grandma used to play this song when i was little, i loved it so much that i started playing piano. This song reminds me of her and im learning it right now
Beethoven literally composed and played it while he was hard of hearing And here we are complaining of broken fingers and mental instability lol Cuz same
I have finally mastered the song up to 1:02 right and left hand it took me about 2 months to get this right but my trick was to try memorise the notes or right on paper and play it SLOWLY and then get faster and faster. Remember, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE is the key and be PATIENT.
federico saviano everyone takes a different amount of time to learn these things, i can play upto 50 seconds in turkish march - Mozart which took about a week or 6 to 8 hours of practice. Most people dont learn scales or music theory so it can be technically difficult for them to do these pieces since they didn't learn the basics from a professional
About three years ago my music teacher said that if someone can play Für Elise full, she/he gets a prize. I trained for maybe about a month this song and played it perfectly. When I played it to my teacher he said that I suck and I should not never anymore play piano. I was 12 years old when this happened
breaktherocks Maybe he really was jealous because when he gave the challenge to our class, he said that he himself can't play it full. After that what he said after I played this song, I quit piano playing for 2 years but then with help of my friends (who all saw how hard I cried after that teacher broke my heart) I started playing again. Now I've been playing a bit over half year after that. + extra to you too for having most lovely Lavi as a profile pic.

you know the difficult part at 1:03? there's actually a story behind that
beethoven made this for a student he loved, named therese, who wasn't really the best piano player - she was mediocre, at best. he made it so easy that she could play it and also impress people which is why it seems so easy up until the 1:03 mark
because beethoven found out she was engaged to another man. he pretty much made that part so she could never play it. he proposed to her once & was rejected so rip

Für is translated to “For” Elise.
Elise, is a human.
Das hast du schön übersetzt
Is she, though?
Everyone’s saying they couldn’t get the middle part and I can’t even get the first four keys
Ughh the middle part is so easy
The first four keys are C and C sharp, going into a G then to a B and into an A.
ueyoia. No? Are you joking these are not the first four keys lol
Same
Maura Tangney it’s easy
Composing and creating are much harder than playing. That’s why them old school European musicians were so highly rated. Always imitated but never duplicated. It really takes talent to pull this kinda shit off in real life. I mean, hard work alone just ain’t gonna cut it.
i like how you say old school but school wasnt even invented back then

Have you heard of Fruit Loops music software ? Lol
I will learn the piano in my next life
Just learn it now. You don't know there will even be a next life.

HiThisI HiThisI Für is German of "for" and Elise is the name of a woman Beethoven courted
+Freedszxc actually ''Elise'' wasn't her name at all, Beethoven just had terrible handwriting.
owen kanaal yah that’s true
Since Beethoven had bad handwriting no one knows what the name really was, but many people believe that it was actually Fur Therese who was someone Beethoven actually knew.

fun story about fur elise: beethoven wrote the first part to be easy because he was in love with one of his beginner students, the woman he wrote it for. he had proposed to her but she turned him down so he wrote the second part to be more difficult so she could never play it
if this is true this is the ultimate petty move and i respect it
This song is the reason why I fell in love with classical music
Why is everyone saying this is hard? It is actually quite easy. You just have to remember the combination of the notes. And try to play it slowly before playing it fast. Do not give up! Keep trying, get used to it and master it!

how long it took for you to get the first part at this video speed....?
im going to learn piano...with synthesia....

(shame is i dont have the second part with the fingers notation and i will have to figure it out i guess...and it can take forever...)

This piece flows so nicely. And tbh the middle section right hand isn’t that bad you just have to get the rotation down and really anchor that pinky on the g. Slow and steady practice gets it

Some tips
Don't waste time on the first, or main movement.
Its actually really easy. Just try, look for tutorials if you need help.
lol keep trying😉

i need some advice. i am 17 years old. is it too late for me to start learning piano? ive always wanted to do it but due to my laziness in years past i always didn't do it. and if its not too late where can i learn to read sheet music
Never is late :)

Why is this the best sounding Fur Elise I've ever heard on TH-cam?
I have finally mastered the song up to 1:02 right and left hand it took me about 2 months to get this right but my trick was to try memorise the notes or right on paper and play it SLOWLY and then get faster and faster. Remember, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE is the key and be PATIENT.

I learnt the whole thing in 2-3 weeks maximum

OMG FUR ELISE IS THE BEST SONG BEETHOVEN HAS MADE
About three years ago my music teacher said that if someone can play Für Elise full, she/he gets a prize. I trained for maybe about a month this song and played it perfectly. When I played it to my teacher he said that I suck and I should not never anymore play piano. I was 12 years old when this happened
Well then your teacher either was jealous or had a stick up his ass. Or both. + Extra points for having Sebas as a profile pic.
breaktherocks Maybe he really was jealous because when he gave the challenge to our class, he said that he himself can't play it full. After that what he said after I played this song, I quit piano playing for 2 years but then with help of my friends (who all saw how hard I cried after that teacher broke my heart) I started playing again. Now I've been playing a bit over half year after that. + extra to you too for having most lovely Lavi as a profile pic.
