The last tech by the way is called momentum cancelling, Antipop put this in a guide back in 2017 (The Old community manager that died sadly) I still have access to the guide in Google Docs from him all those years ago. He was pretty much the only person to use it.
Here's the guide for anyone wondering btw this guide was made back when chase dodges were a thing as our primary movement approach mixup option docs.google.com/presentation/d/1-EPmFTUf2hIdEZqXGyhLQi4kCBax9Cig7Ft1oNCgK6k/edit#slide=id.p
The whiplash tech could also be easily done after a whiffed bow nlight, that has really low recovery but a long cool down until you can do it again. GS could potentially make a lot of use of this as well, if you do dash cancel you can't go back into the same starter you used before because of the cool down (for example, you can't just loop slight-nlight-dash cancel over and over). GS can probably do this on hit quite easily to set up a gc dlight right on top of the opponent, or to do a grounded rec without using a chase dodge (the latter would be REALLY good if you hit the opponent with an nlight starter while they have a dodge, as rec is the only non-sig way to read an up dodge in that situation).
@@justvibing2497 i have an irresistable urge to get into a meaningless argument with you but i havent played the game in like 8 months so i honestly have no clue if youre right or not tbh
The whiplash is a pretty well known, as far as hidden tech goes, but I see what you mean. Like its not something people are labbing and the dash fast fall backwards is pretty nice
Hey, good vid. Just wanna point out that unless you're changing stances/maps, you can switch legends when you press tab and just cycle through the names above the skin of your character and weapon you wanna hold!
GS also have some broken cancels, birb dash is also a interesting tech, for some reason nobody uses tech to perform and aerial attack while ledge canceling into a platform or at least take advantage of the 2 startup back dash
gl in music bro maybe u didn,t go as a world champion but u will go as the coach of the world champion and the best coach in the game teaching us all for free
that tech with yumiko has been known for a while... but its cool to see how it can be done on other weapons/legends. i was under the impression that it was yumiko only.
I've (accidentally) used the first tech on gs, but it works even when you hit an attack. It sometimes happens when i do Dlight and then somehow instantly change direction and do Slight
Thanks for sharing these secret moves I know a secret in the game there is a high chance that you know it but I will tell you about it When you use azoth Axe side sig And Bow down sig you can moove back while charging it
I've always somewhat known about Whiplash tech, I've been able to do it a couple times with lance before but I never knew it was tech or how it worked/how to do it💀 It probably happened due to button mashing
most of this is just attack cooldown cancels. you try to mash out an attack thats on cooldown, soo the game just puts you in a neutral state over and over again with each attempt reseting you to a neutral state which cancels turnaround and jump animations. Its been known for a while but with mostly with sigs because they have long cooldowns
Btw its just as possible on controller if you play dpad, just gotta fatthumb your thumb on down and then roll it side to side to do it. Great vid ty but i honestly don’t understand how to do the whiplash thing u were talking about i genuinely have no idea what u r talking about
Could we see you do some ranked runs with live or post commentary or even go over your recent event matches with your analysis such as what you should’ve done or what the opp should’ve done?
So basically for half of these, Not being able to do the same attack twice in a row without some lag is actually not true You can do the same attack, it will initiate a reaction from your character, just the active frames of an attack won't come out Maybe this can be called Semi-Active frames I bet you, there can be found many more techs, concerning this
The first one is the only one I didn't know of. The second one was pretty obvious to find out even with just a thousand hours into the game and the third was even more easy to find and I think a while ago someone made a video about it too and moonwalking is like the third.

i miss antipop
@@charwald1298 All of those who knew about him miss him a lot :((
i wish i was there back when he was still here, rip
I can cancel just by pressing aim up and backward button

brooo imagine if we had 2020 lance nair hitbox with this tech. that shit would be preposterously silly
Lance still broken

Bro sting rays movement has always amazed me man. He is so good
Do a how to get to 2400+ elo guide and tips please 🙏
Hey, good vid. Just wanna point out that unless you're changing stances/maps, you can switch legends when you press tab and just cycle through the names above the skin of your character and weapon you wanna hold!
Its faster to just back and and select the legend loading aint an issue with a ssd
this is one of those hidden techs in brawl that i wish were more "humanly possible" so i can use it all the time
i do it on lance consistently tbh
@@STINGRAY516 those controls already show how human you are
*in a good way*
On blasters you can do grounded d-light nair with the whiplash tech
GS also have some broken cancels, birb dash is also a interesting tech, for some reason nobody uses tech to perform and aerial attack while ledge canceling into a platform or at least take advantage of the 2 startup back dash
whats the actual input for whiplash, i either do a gc nglight, or a jump air dodge

Yo sting ray are you going to prom with her or nah??
why did i never think of dodge canceling. shits lit
Sig Ray at it again showing Golds on how to spam with Orion and win
palveski showed jittering on stream months ago. it’s not difficult on controller if you’re using dpad.
Actually saw birbl do that Yumiko dash mashing but he did differently
I've (accidentally) used the first tech on gs, but it works even when you hit an attack. It sometimes happens when i do Dlight and then somehow instantly change direction and do Slight
Nvm it was just sDash
Ima have to try out the dodge cancelling later good looks 🙌🏾🔥
i died at this video, imagine playing with mouse, imagine moving with your left hand and attacking with your right hand 💀
i remember that yumiko one but never thought to do it with anything else
Is the whiplash why you constantly mash your keys ?
Thanks for sharing these secret moves
I know a secret in the game there is a high chance that you know it but I will tell you about it
When you use azoth
Axe side sig
And
Bow down sig
you can moove back while charging it
make a video about how to read enemy movements and landing on the stage especially
A video idea could be how to use platforms as in the pros and cons of certain weapons, movement options, and attacks
Is it better to play with the mouse or without?
Coulda sworn I saw impala doing the first one in winters
I've always somewhat known about Whiplash tech, I've been able to do it a couple times with lance before but I never knew it was tech or how it worked/how to do it💀
It probably happened due to button mashing
Wow brawlhalla Tech's always surprising me xd
i think ill be rooting for u next tournament lmao
but honestly kinda rude to just tell everybody ngl
The whiplash is kinda useless on hit but could be broken on miss especially if you have a bot input timing
most of this is just attack cooldown cancels. you try to mash out an attack thats on cooldown, soo the game just puts you in a neutral state over and over again with each attempt reseting you to a neutral state which cancels turnaround and jump animations. Its been known for a while but with mostly with sigs because they have long cooldowns
how exactly do u input the whiplash?
attack -> press that same attack again right before you would be able to do it again -> dash jump -> turn around
This is the best pro guide

Jittering is possible on controller but it makes my hand sore lol
As a brawlhalla player on PS4 I believe that’s impossible for my counsole
Jittering isn’t hard on controller that helped me hit diamond for my first time after I learned about it in training mode It’s easier with dpad

Lance players going in after this fr
So like yumikos turbo dash
the first tech has been used for a while. Blasters dlight nair is a great example
That is a completely different thing, that's just chase dodging instantly like on gauntlets dlight nair.
My PC cant handle it....😭
second tech should be "NATing";) "no animation turning"
witty
aint nobody doin allat😹
